In your groups, you will create a
Puritan paper
• This paper should track the characters and events
that pertain to Ch.1-5 (I, II, III,IV,V) at least.
• You should have a newspaper story showing
major events from the book utilizing textual
evidence citations for each one. (2 per story!)
• Each story will have one visual picture to
correspond.
• Each group member will be responsible for one
different page of the newspaper. It must include 4
DIFFERENT elements! (1 per person!)
Group Assignments
A: Front Page Story (Major Event that has taken place!)
B:Personal interview story for one character
C:Gossip Column (pretend a Puritan has overheard
gossip of the town during a scene from the book!)
D: Create 1 Advertisements needed in a Puritan town
AND 1 Political Cartoon related to Puritan politics seen in
book
E: Current Event Puritan life section (what was going on
outside of Boston...use textbook) *ONLY FOR GROUPS
