Superintendent of IYM and heavily involved in the Quaker Haven Camp

FUM Chain of Prayer
“A Great People to be Gathered” is the theme of this year’s Chain of Prayer
sponsored by Friends United Meeting. FUM spans the world and is the
people of North America, Cuba, Jamaica, Belize, Ramallah, Kenya, and
Uganda. One way for FUM to be gathered from all corners of the globe is
through prayer. WFC’s day in the chain is January 23. Sign up in the
ministry folders for a time to pray. Guidance on how to pray will be
provided in a bulletin insert on January 22.

SOUPER BOWL OF CARING FAMILY GAME DAY & SOUP LUNCH:
January 29, noon – 3pm.
Enjoy an afternoon of family fun AND join other churches in a nationwide
campaign to support local charities. Donations will buy snacks and meals
for our local ministry at The Access Youth Center. Soup Pots for donations
are at the Welcome Center and the Faith Street check-in desk.
The Foundations Retreat replaces the Foundations class previously
MARRIAGE RETREAT UPDATE
Nearly 50 couples have already registered! Pay just $40 to reserve your
place at the Marriage Retreat to be held February 10-13 at the Grand
Wayne Center, Fort Wayne. After January 22, registration will be $50. Or,
contact Rachel Hurst at the Counseling Center, 563-8453, to register.

denomination, in our community, and in our world. This is a great entry
point for those who want to learn more about WFC. The retreat is a
practical way to experience the “culture” of Wabash Friends in a fun,
relaxing, and serene environment. Held at Quaker Haven Camp, Syracuse,
Indiana, on March 2-3, 2012 the retreat will begin Friday evening and
conclude Saturday afternoon. Enjoy an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast
(with QH maple syrup), lunch, and overnight accommodations all for $40
per person. Register in the Ministry Folders or at the Information
Center in the lobby. Contact Alex Falder for more information.

something from your business, etc. are needed for the marriage retreat.

A FREE Preview of Financial Peace University (developed by Dave
Ramsey) will be offered at the Wabash YMCA THIS Wednesday evening,
January 18 at 6:30pm. Classes begin January 25th. This is an ideal way to
learn sound biblical financial principles. See the Information Center for
more information and registration.
Help other Couples! Donate $95 or $190 to help fund scholarships for
couples who would like attend. Your gift is a HUGE encouragement to those

Wabash County Hands of Hope has a part-time opening for someone to
provide prevention information about domestic violence and sexual
violence to junior high and high school students in Wabash County. This is

from life support on Wednesday; Jane Barlow in the loss of her father on
