“A Great People to be Gathered” is the theme of this year’s Chain of Prayer sponsored by Friends United Meeting. FUM spans the world and is the people of North America, Cuba, Jamaica, Belize, Ramallah, Kenya, and
Uganda. One way for FUM to be gathered from all corners of the globe is through prayer. WFC’s day in the chain is January 23. Sign up in the ministry folders or in the lobby for a time to pray, anytime during the 24 hours and help to fill the day as we unite in prayer. Guidance on how to pray will be provided in a bulletin insert on January 22.
Register now and save $10. Pay just $40 to reserve your place at the
Marriage Retreat to be held February 10-13 at the Grand Wayne Center, Fort
Wayne. See the table in the lobby to register and buy some garbage bags at the same time! After January 31, registration will be $50. Or, contact Rachel
Hurst at the Counseling Center, 563-8453, to register.
What: Sunday School Grow Groups are made up of Established Classes and
Elective Classes.
Who: Established Classes are attended by regular participants – some by age group, with others made up of all ages. Elective Classes are made up of a variety of age groups and a variety of participants.
Where: Established Classes meet in designated classrooms that surround the sanctuary. Elective Classes meet in a variety of locations, determined by the class size and multimedia needs.
When: Established Classes are ongoing. Elective Classes meet for seven weeks. Both meet from 9:15am – 10:15am each Sunday morning.
Why: Both classes offer distinct aspects that meet a variety of needs.
Established Classes offer: regular participants; fellowship, prayer, and study; the opportunity to develop close relationships; accountability, support and encouragement.
Elective Classes offer: a variety of participants; specific areas of study for a short term; an “entry point” for new attendees; a class for those who don’t attend an Established Class.
Members of an Established Class have the opportunity to attend an Elective
Class for a short term while remaining a part of their Established Class when the Elective Class ends.
NOTE: Although Elective Classes have specific start and end dates, participants may join at any time.
The goal of Sunday School Grow Groups is to provide an avenue for
“intentional growth” in a small group setting.
New Grow Group Electives begin TODAY and will conclude February 19. See the Welcome Center for information about each class.

Discover Wabash Friends Church! Who are we as a church? As a family?
In our community? In our world? Learn about and experience the “culture” of Wabash Friends in a fun, relaxing, and serene environment at Quaker
Haven Camp, Syracuse, Indiana, at the very first Foundations Retreat to be held on March 2-3, 2012. Meet and fellowship with one another and talk about what the WFC ministry/vision is and how you fit in – as a minister to others and as someone who is hungry to grow. The retreat begins Friday evening and concludes Saturday afternoon and includes breakfast (an allyou-can-eat pancake breakfast with QH maple syrup), lunch, and overnight accommodations at Oak Haven Lodge, all for $40 per person. Register in the
Ministry Folders or at the Information Table in the lobby.
We encourage you to participate in the Financial Peace University
(developed by Dave Ramsey) to be offered at the Wabash YMCA on
Wednesday evenings 6:15pm-8pm beginning January 25th. Rather than hold a class at WFC, we are partnering with the YMCA. This is a biblically based program that is extremely helpful for ALL income levels. See the insert for information and sign up in the Ministry Folders or at the
Information Table.
Thank you for donating aluminum cans. Please remember to sort your aluminum from other metal cans. We are unable to accept plastic or glass at this time. Thank you for your help!
