RELIGION AND BELIEF
ANCIENT CHINA
BUDDISM
Buddhism is a religion but not fully. It is
more of a philosophy telling us to live a
righteous life. Buddhism shows the true
purpose of life. It explains corruption
around the world and it provides a code
of practice that's leads to a life of true
happiness.
There is actually no god in Buddhism.
Buddhism was created by an Indian
Prince called Siddhartha Gautama born
563 .B.C. He became known as Buddha.
Buddhism is about Spiritual meaning
not rituals or anything like that.
There are about 300 million people
following the Buddhism religion at the
moment. It has been around for about
2,500 years and is still going strong. The
main area’s where it is practiced is
India, Asia, Russia and the Netherlands.
People are drawn to believe in
Buddhism because it has an answer for
pretty much everything.
DAOISM
Daoism is said to be the way of the
universe. But like Buddhism it is
more of a philosophy some people
follow. It is about the joyful and
carefree life of the Chinese.
It has a history of around 2000 years.
The word Dao means the way or
path. A man called Laozi wanted
more of a spiritual approach to living
and from this formed the religion.
Today there are approximately
2,700,000 people that believe in
Daoism. Most of them live in Asia, it
is there main religion, however, you
don’t have to be Asian to be a Daoist
as it is all around the world. You can
go to a Daoism temple and preform
Daoist ceremonies. But you do not
have to go to one of them to believe
in Daoism.
CONFUCIONISM
Confusion is not a religion, because
there are no deities and no teaching
about the after life. It Represents
Mercy, social order and fulfilment of
responsibilities. If you believe in
Confucianism you should be honest
and trustworthy.
Confucianism has a history of 10005000 years old and is still growing.
Confucianism was once a man who
live in the 6th century B.C.E. (Before
The Common Era) he travelled all
over the place telling he’s
philosophy’s. His philosophy’s
influenced the Chinese culture right
up to today.
About 6,300,000 people believe in
Confucianism. And the majority of
those people live in North America
and Asia. One of confusions saying is
that the after life is out of human
capability.
