St. Catherine of Siena Parish February 2013 Mass for Couples Sunday Feb 17th 1pm Marriage Prep Course begins Feb 20th For all those getting married in the parish in 2013. th Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 13 . As we continue in the Year of Faith, we are invited to deepen our relationship with God. Lent is a season of grace, given to us by the Church to draw closer to our Lord and prepare for the celebration of his Passion and Resurrection. Any Lenten resolution should be geared towards helping us open our hearts to that grace. We should ask ourselves…Is something in my life leading me to sin regularly? Do I need to make more time for prayer? Do I need more silence in my day? Can I be a better witness of my faith? Some ideas include pray more, go to Mass, read the bible, pray for someone, be a peacemaker, be patient with others, be kinder to those around you, see the good in others, gossip less, spend less time watching television or on computer, buy only what you need not what you want, perform works of charity as a family, or give up something you like.
