TEKS (Identify by Support, Readiness, and/or Process): 19 TAC Ch 114.22 – (1) Communication. The student
communicates in a language other than English using the skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The
student is expected to: (A) engage in oral and written exchanges of learned material to socialize and to provide
and obtain information; (B) demonstrate understanding of simple, clearly spoken, and written language such as
simple stories, high-frequency commands, and brief instructions when dealing with familiar topics; and (C)
present information using familiar words, phrases, and sentences to listeners and readers. (3) Connections. The
student uses the language to make connections with other subject areas and to acquire information. The student
is expected to: (A) use resources (that may include technology) in the language and cultures being studied to
gain access to information; and (4) Comparisons. The student develops insight into the nature of language and
culture by comparing the student's own language and culture to another. The student is expected to: (A)
demonstrate an understanding of the nature of language through comparisons of the student's own language and
the language studied

1. Students will be able to describe themselves through written and spoken communication.
Monday
2. Focus – ¿Cómo eres?¿Cómo es tu mamá?¿Cómo es tu mejor amigo?
3. Discuss focus questions.
4. Presentación escrita – Revise with a partner, and work on final. All parts due tomorrow.
5. Review for test – vocabulary, questions from previous chapters, common errors,
adjective/noun agreement, rules for adjective agreement, definite and indefinite articles.
6. HW – Study for test Capítulo 1B, Review sheet 1B-8 & 9 for study only
Tuesday
1. Students will demonstrate their ability to describe themselves and others as well as use
proper word order and working knowledge of definite and indefinite articles through a
formal assessment.
2. Study 2 minutes!
3. Exámen – Capítulo 1B
Wednesday
PSAT – No class. 7th and 8th Test if NHS prevents test because of time.

1. Students will learn the vocabulary necessary to discuss their school schedules and
subjects, what students do during the day, ask and tell who is doing an action and compare
school life to other cultures.
2. In English write out your daily schedule, and tell which class is your favorite and why.

5. Videohistoria – read as script with class volunteers. IP - Answer questions Actividad 3

7. Students practice – Actividad 4 – Write a complete sentence answer to the questions
about the school schedule given in the book.
