The African Caribbean Care Group (ACCG) is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic
intern to support our business development programme. Ideally, the candidate will
be a student or recent graduate in Business Studies, Information Technology, or
similar looking to develop their business development skills and knowledge. The
candidate will work with our General Manager and will have the opportunity to gain
valuable experience in a range of business development and research activities.
This voluntary internship offers a unique opportunity to build experience across every
aspect of operations and management.
Appointment is subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Person Specification
Key Responsibilities
 Assisting with fundraising and income generation
 Carry out research in a range of areas, including policy and funding
 Assisting in marketing activities
 Assisting with preparation of presentations, documents and policies
 Assist with other administrative and office-based tasks within the organisation
 Preparing reports for funders as required
 Telephone, Internet and database research
 General duties as delegated by the General Manager
 Assist with preparation of financial information
Essential
 Highly numerate and literate










Excellent written and spoken communication skills
2.1 degree or above
Enthusiastic, quick-thinking and highly productive
Ability to be flexible and work independently
Self-starter with exceptional organisational skills
Accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to network effectively and work with a range of stakeholders
Experience working with MS Office, including Excel
Research and analytical skills
An understanding of and commitment to promoting equality and diversity
Desirable
 Experience working in a voluntary or not-for-profit organisation
 Experience of supporting a senior management team
 Business awareness
