Principal Job duties or main tasks: Support kitchen assistants with Learning disabilities on a paid/voluntary work placement within the kitchen environment. (Supported Employment posts). To ensure Environmental Health and Food Hygiene regulations / legislation / standards are adhered to. Responsible for ensuring that all utensils, equipment, work surfaces and areas are maintained in a hygienic state. Responsible to reporting defective equipment to line manager. Stock rotation of drinks supplies. To lift trays of crockery in and out of the dishwasher and leaning over a large sink to rinse cutlery/crockery. Training: Holds Food hygiene Certificate or NVQ 1 in Food preparation and cooking or similar qualification. Trained to operate tin opener, dish washer and microwave. Complete and update relevant training.
