Job Summary:
 Heat ready meals and soups
 Ensure food and hygiene standards are met.
Principal Job duties or main tasks:

Support kitchen assistants with Learning disabilities on a paid/voluntary work placement
within the kitchen environment. (Supported Employment posts).

To ensure Environmental Health and Food Hygiene regulations / legislation / standards are
adhered to.

Responsible for ensuring that all utensils, equipment, work surfaces and areas are
maintained in a hygienic state.

Responsible to reporting defective equipment to line manager.

Stock rotation of drinks supplies.

To lift trays of crockery in and out of the dishwasher and leaning over a large sink to rinse
cutlery/crockery.
Training:

Holds Food hygiene Certificate or NVQ 1 in Food preparation and cooking or similar
qualification.

Trained to operate tin opener, dish washer and microwave.

Complete and update relevant training.

Will be responsible for the safeguarding of vulnerable people whilst working within the
Confidentiality / Safeguarding Adults Policy and Procedure Guidelines
