If you are a guest and are not yet a member of the WELS/ELS fellowship, we invite you to learn more about us and, most of all, about the Savior whom God has sent. Then join with us at his communion table. To learn more about our faith and fellowship, speak with Pastor Brauer. Personal preparation for Holy Communion can be found on page 156 in front of the hymnal. Communion in Front Rows If you are unable to walk up to the rail for Communion, you may be seated in one of the front pews during the service. The pastor and elders will come down to the front pews to distribute Communion. Lenten Worship Join us each Wednesday evening in Lent Worship services are held at 3:30 and 7 pm. A meal will be served between services from 4:30 – 6:30 pm on the following Wednesdays: March 4, 11 and 25. This Wednesday the Schmoller SALT Group will be serving Sloppy Joes. Pastor Call Meeting We will hold the next pastor call meeting on Sunday, March 8. The meeting will start at 11:45 and be held in the church basement. All members are invited to attend. Divine Call Received Pastor Brauer has received a divine call from Redeemer Lutheran Church in Tucson, Arizona, to serve as associate pastor. Redeemer has about 425 members and operates a Lutheran elementary school. It is one of four WELS congregations in a city of about 500,000 people. With an associate pastor on staff, Redeemer intends to do more follow up on visitors to worship and outreach to non-member school families, as well as to increase ministry to members. Keep Pastor Brauer and both congregations in your prayers. Meeting with Confirmation Students and Parents Eighth-grade students and their parents are reminded of the meeting this Thursday, March 5 at 7:00. We will address the importance of confirmation in the life of a Christian and cover some of the basic details of Confirmation Sunday. Sacred Spring Concert The Luther Preparatory School Sacred Spring Concert will be held on Sunday, March 8 at 2 pm in the gymnasium. Easter for Kids It is not too early to think about this annual outreach effort to the community. The event will be held on Saturday, April 4 in Veterans’ Park across the street from the church. The children will hear about the Savior’s passion and his resurrection through storytelling, songs and crafts. They will also have the opportunity to collect candy filled eggs. This is where we need your help now. We will be collecting small, individually wrapped candies. Bags of donated candy can be placed in the box by the church office beginning March 4. As the time grows closer to the event, look for more opportunities to help. Meals on Wheels Trinity’s turn to deliver Meals on Wheels will be the week of March 9-13. Each day four teams deliver meals to our Watertown neighbors. The meals are picked up at Perkins at 11:30. The routes are clearly marked for you and it takes about one hour to deliver the meals. If you are interested in helping, you will find a sign-up sheet in the Fireside Room or contact Lefty Zuleger at 261-7917. Pioneers The Pioneers will be hosting a taco supper between the Lenten Services on Wednesday, March 11. They are asking for your help in supplying some of the needed ingredients. A sign-up sheet and a collection basket can be found in the Fireside Room. Service Persons Names and Addresses Needed Trinity Women in Service is asking congregation members for the names and addresses of service persons they know. We would like to remember their service by sending gift cards to them with an Easter card. Also include any non-Trinity family member (grandchild, etc.), fiancé, or close friend who would appreciate contact. Please call or mail your addresses by March 23 to Phyllis Kaesermann (261-2605, or email kaeserpl@att.net ). So far we have four service persons on our listing: Anthony Dricken, Nicholas Ebert, David Rumary and Dale Punzel. If you would like to donate towards these gift cards please send a check to Pat Zastrow, W.I.S. Treasurer, N8276 Cty. Hwy. E, Watertown WI 53094. Make it out to "Women in Service" and note that it is for "Gift Cards for Service Persons.” March Issue of Forward in Christ Available Subscribers to Forward in Christ will find their March issue in the Fireside Room.
