Utilitarian Pop-Up
Consumers gravitate to pop-up stores with a more casual approach
Implications - Veering away from the flashy and prestigious, pop-up shops and venues have begun experimenting with a more utilitarian aesthetic. The focus
on functionality and pragmatism in pop-up design suggests that, though still experiential, pop-up shops are considered a more routine occurrence in
consumer's lives, and their aesthetics have grown to reflect that shift.

Race-Ready Runners Pop-Ups
The Nike Womens London Pop-Up is Revealed Ahead of the 10-KM Race
In order to celebrate the Nike Womens London 10-kilometer
race, the iconic sports brand has taken over several of the large
metropolis's outlets as well as launching a pop-up installation in
Victoria Park.
Unified across the locations and in the pop-up is a color scheme
that includes mint, lime, green, coral and white, usually in
chevron patterns. There is also no shortage of cityscape
silhouettes, a smart marketing technique executed by the brand
to make the entire experience feel customized the city, despite
the fact that it takes place is plenty of countries.
For the promotional materials such as the displays were created
by Seen Displays fro the brand. In addition to the Nike Town
Flagship, Nike outlets that feature a new buzzworthy look
include the shops in White City and Covent Garden, as well as

Pop-Up Seaside Dealerships
Tesla's Temporary Car Store Travels to Luxurious Summer Resorts
Knowing that pop-up shops are one of the most popular ways to
reach new and prospective customers at the moment, Tesla
Motors brought a car store to the beach. Tesla's Model S electric
car is being shown off inside of a mobile shipping container store
in Santa Barbara, California, where it will stay for about a month
before traveling to the upscale Hamptons of New York. Although
dealerships bring stress to many vehicle shoppers, being by the
beach will surely bring ease to the experience.
Inside of the car store pop-up, visitors are invited to learn more
about the electric car brand and its products through interactive
displays, consultations and test drives.
Since the shipping container shop is easy to crate around, it only
takes about a few hours to assemble. As well as being able to
introduce itself in areas where there are currently no brick-andmortar locations, this is a huge way to cut down on the costs of
building, staffing and maintaining a permanent location.

Pop-Up Ramadan Cafes
Ramadan Garden by Ghaf Kitchen Celebrates the Holy Month
Dubai food establishment Ghaf Kitchen's latest venture is a popup Ramadan Garden cafe. The eatery is currently set up inside
the city's A4 Gallery and is the place to be for those enjoying the
Holy Month's traditional Iftar or Suhoor meals.
Though urban and somewhat industrial, this communal cafe
lives up to its Ramadan Garden name thanks to its greenery
accents and hanging planter decor. In addition to its fresh plants
and herbs, the pop-up kitchen also prides itself on locally grown
ingredients and boasts a menu that is both traditional and tasty.
Ghaf Kitchen's pop up cafe is not only equipped with a dining
area but is also home to lounge and gaming spaces that
encourage a sense of community among its patrons. In addition
to enjoying food with one another, visitors are able to connect
while fasting. This eatery is reflective of the food industry's
recent, cultural focus. Adhering to religious diets during Holy
Month, this contemporary pop-up serves up a mix of modernity
and tradition.

Summery Pop-Up Shops
This Byrant Park Pop-Up Celebrates the Target x Lilly Pulitzer Collection
The Target x Lilly Pulitzer collaboration collection was preshopped at an exclusive Bryant Park pop-up event in New York
earlier this year. Before making the line available to the masses
in store and online, the affordable retailer gave guests an
exclusive look at the colorful range. In addition to fashion
bloggers and insiders, the guest list included celebs like Bella
Thorne and Kate Bosworth among other familiar faces.
Setting a vibrant tone for summer, Bryant Park's Target x Lilly
Pulitzer pop-up shop featured a series of displays that featured
the collection's printed dresses, caftans and swimwear staples.
In addition to these pieces, the shop also highlighted the
collaboration collection's straw totes, printed scarves and even
featured a home decor range that included glassware and
candle holders among other fun accents.
Resembling a tropical cabana, this pop-up shop left visitors with
a memorable and sensory experience that stayed true to Lilly
Pulitzer's signature brand vision.

Floating Fitness Studios (UPDATE)
The Nike Crystal Coliseum was a Pop-Up for Training Classes
The first Nike Women's 15k Race in Toronto, Canada was a
huge success, due in large part to the construction of the Nike
Crystal Coliseum. This special fitness studio was essentially a
floating barge that rested on top of Lake Ontario. Providing an
airy, light-filled space that provided even more of a core workout,
women were able to partake in the weekend's events even if
they weren't running the race themselves.
Part of the larger Nike Women Village, the Nike Crystal
Coliseum hosted 33 training classes over a period of four days.
With Nike Master trainers from across North America flying in,
those who were lucky enough to snag a spot were able to get in
an elite workout while also trialing the latest footwear products.

Children's Magazine Pop-ups
The ANNIVERSARY MiLK Pop-up Shop is Designed for Kids
This unique youthful pop-up in Omotesando Hills, Tokyo does a
great job of communicating the lifestyle projected by the
children's magazine. A largely whiteout space, the
ANNIVERSARY MiLK Pop-up was conceived around the notion
that life with children is generous and beautiful.
The flexible space is able to host events or workshops, while it
also concisely sums up the brand's aesthetic. Designed by
Kazunori Matsumura, the space is notably minimal in its style
and tends to favor catering to children's whims in a more mature
way than most, opting for a more refined feel.
The space features plenty of room for product display in a way
that feels homey and laid back. The store features children's

Social Shopping Pop-Ups
Tanger Outlets Celebrates Its New Location with Fun Pop-Up Stations
To celebrate the opening of the new Tanger Outlets in
Savannah, Georgia, the shopping mall chain set up a variety of

More than 78,000 people flocked to the opening of this new

Luxe Pop-Up Boutiques
Chanel St. Tropez is a Temporary Retail Experience for Lovers of Luxury
Chanel St. Tropez is a pop-up boutique that boasts a myriad of
artistic elements. The temporary retail space is luxe and
experiential for its wealthy visitors, blending vibrant product

From its wireframe ceiling elements to its surreal sock

Boasting playful design elements, the luxury pop-up boutique

Pop-Up Water Bars
London's H2Only Just Serves Glasses of Tap Water
As part of the H2Only campaign to get people to donate to
charity instead of buying expensive drinks like coffee and
alcohol, a pop-up water bar was opened up in London for a day.
The temporary bar is being called "London's first water-only bar,"
taking pride in the fact it only serves glasses of tap water in
cardboard cups. Getting a drink of water at this stop was of
benefit to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, an organization
that relies on donations in order to make life-saving missions.

Customizable Ice Cream
This Magnum Ice Cream Pop-Up Shop Puts Customers In Charge
Normally when you think of Magnum ice cream, you think of

The company went about setting up a pop-up shop in Bryant
Park in New York City. Customers are given the opportunity to
dip a smooth vanilla bean ice cream bar in either milk chocolate
or dark chocolate, before being asked to pick three out of nine
toppings. The process is reminiscent to that of self-serve frozen
yogurt joints, although the end result is an ice cream bar that
resembles those you get in supermarket freezers in boxes.
Customization is fast becoming the buzzword in the food

opportunity to enjoy customized ice cream with the same look
