IV. Background
In the era of information explosion today, the demand and pursue for advertising of people as
well as companies are increasingly rapidly. Parallel with that, taking benefits from this trend for
business in e-commerce also became flourishing. Within that trend, many websites provide advertising
service such as allowing placing banners, pop-ups, posting ads … However, the criteria of the ad is the
more people are widely known product or service of the advertising poster, the better. Or more
specifically, those people who want to sell products or services want more buyers to know to them.

The banner is limited by the area on the interface of site can not be enough for dozens of banner ads
even the banner cost is a barrier to advertise their products. Also placing pop-ups will cause discomfort
in the search information process while access to customer, this method is rarely used in advertising
services via the internet. But with posting the ads, this promoting method proved much more effective
and usually used by the many businesses and individuals today. Many sites have implemented this
advertising service, but still not meet the main purpose of advertising so take users’s a lot of time.
Imagine that if a person wants to sell a laptop, they must register on the classified advertising website
and log in then compose their ads and post them. According to statistics there are about a few dozen
well-known posting ads websites all over the country. With an average of 5 minutes to post an ad on a
website, a user takes an average of one hour to post to the site and more time if they continue with
many more websites. So can we spend fewer time posting ads?
From such thoughts, we want to build a specialized tool to help users save their time and
provide additional services to have the best support in the posting process of users. This tool can
allow users to post ads on its website, post ads from its system on the ads website across the country
and give suggestion to poster about the price at the moment of product on the market. For example, a
customer access to our website, they will compile ads, but they wonder how selling price is cheaper or
more expensive than price of same product on the market. They won’t have to waste time "googling"
the price of product that our website will offer a list of price products from well-known stores and
supermarkets. Finally, last but not lastest, the website, we have an ambition to create a giant model of
association, which connects the entire classified advertising websites across the country. We want to
create an alliance between enterprises, stores, vendors and consumers, where we come in as a
coordinator, a connector. We wish to bring practical benefits for the business community as well as
consumers of Vietnam, contributing to the economic development of the country.
V. Literature Review of Existing Systems
1. Overview of similar existing solutions & existing methods
In the course of study and research, we found that today, Vietnam already has had many
classified advertising website, such as: vatgia.com, enbac.com, chodientu.vn, dzodzo.com … These
websites have offered a relatively large amount of information on goods, and received the acceptance
and frequently visits from customer to update information about items as well as advertising.
Below are the existing methods that these websites use to build their e-commerce business:
 Collecting data
- Use the autobot (spider web) for filtering, separeting the information about different
products on the other websites and put on their own database
- Working with businesses and stores to offer a service that can interact directly with
products database of the enterprises and shops to obtain information about products and
goods.
- Use ads from customers as data
 Searching data
Almost website have search engine for products and goods, all of the search engine are
self-developed or use the search service from third-party provider.
 Arrangement and presentation of results

Most these sites are achieving success on the reasonable arangement, sorting and
displaying items coherently, clearly and easy to use. Focus on behavior and habits of
users.

- With payment by SMS of dzodzo.com: When messeaging to 6x40 (or 8x38) number under
the guidance of dzodzo.com, message operator will be automatically deducted from the
account of phone card the amount corresponding to the service pack provided by
dzodzo.com.
 Auto posting ads
The ads are posted automatically on websites specializing in classified advertising in
Vietnam, for example 5giay.vn, enbac.com, rongbay.com …

2. Achievements of the existing systems

Statistics show that customers were more interested about e-commerce website specially
classified advertising website: vatgia.com website is one of Vietnam with 2.8 million pageviews per day and number of visitors: 550,000 per day.

 Transaction value
Currently, in the field of e-commerce sales account for a large ratio and continuously
increased over the years. Especially, Vietnam’s Internet growth is very high: 128,4%, the
highest in the ASEAN region. Other forms of payment through e-commerce increasingly
improved more quickly and more easily, which makes transactions become easier,
increase transaction volume increasing.

In 2009, VATGIA.COM site announced transaction value of approximately 48 billion VND
per month.
 Advertisement
In the wide world of the Internet with billions of people are using every day, many of
them often read online ads when surfing the web and that is a great opportunity for
companies to conduct marketing campaingns.
The ad network gives advertisers who buy a lot of benefits that other forms of traditional
advertising cannot be or have but do not bring high efficiency. Here are the advantages
helped to online advertising has been, is and will become the best promotional tool for
many businesses.
The ability to target seleted: Online advertising opportunity for advertisers to accurately
target their customers, and help them carry advertisements in accordance with the
interests and tastes of comsumers.
The flecibility and ability to distribute: An ad network is transmitted 24/24 hours a day, all
week, all year. Moreover, advertising campaigns can be started to update or cancel at any
time.
Valuation of online advertising: more and more new model involves multiple pricing
structures was introduced. To day, the pricing model from a variety of fixed price, to
calculate the number of times an ad view, calculating the number of ad clicks, based on
the number of times the ad was broadcast, the number of rows purchased…
Buy online advertising: An online advertising campaign, like any other advertising
medium, requires strategic planning to ensure the money is used effectively and achieve
the objectives.
3. Limitations of the existing systems
 Searching speed
The search for data on these sited reached moderate speed, but the result did not really
reach the exact expectation because of:
 Search algorithm is not optimal
 Do not have a mechanism for distributed data clusters effectively (or if it has so the
search speed is very slow)

 Interactivity
The goal of classified advertising website is associated between potential customers
with advertisers or poster. So customers cannot interact with product as well as product
test. The classified advertising websitea are C2C model (ie: transactions between
individuals and individuals). But that was still a half, not at the level of e-commerce that
means have to trading, payment through the Internet.
About a business perspective, that's not a good model if maintaining a long time,
although this type of transaction is quite common. Because it was spontaneous method,
easy to setup, easy to operate but difficult to create trust and reliability, ensure prestige
and hard to take revenue.
 Human – Computer Interface issues
Web shoppers have become more sophisticated in their knowledge of online purchasing
alternatives, and more importantly, they have become less patient with Web site that are
difficult to understand and use. These are the facts that “Users expect to find the
information they want, find it quickly, and to do so with little effort”. E-commerce site still
commit a number of errors in usability design.
 Confusing in content presentation: web page layouts cumbersome, complicated, poor
navigability, allow posting too many ads on the website is not a good impression to
the user.
 Time
Currently, the ads websites usually only provide for users to post their own ads on these
sites. Users who want their advertisements appear on many sites for many people to
know, they have to spend much time logging in turn on these sites and post ads.
VI. Our Proposal
Realizing the shortcomings and challenges that e-commerce webisite in public and classified
advertising website in private in Vietnam are facing, we consider it an opportunity for us to be able to
develop an innovative solution to attract Internet user community and build brand reputation on the
website map.
The idea to create a classified advertising website is not new. The products above do exist and go
live at the moment (such as dzodzo.com, vatgia.com, 5giay.vn, enbac.com). However, all of them do
not have all the attraction that our product will possess. For example, dzodzo.com and enbac.com
have not supports well for price of product. And there are too many things on the websites that
distract the users from the main purpose.
By implementing a classified advertising website for Vietnamese users, our product will have
the following advantages:
- Specialized for Vietnamese users and Vietnamese businesses.
- Saving time for posting ads to many websites.
- Ads of customers have a very high chance to be known by a very large number of users who
use online buying and selling services.
- Therefore, the ability to sell or buy items you is higher.
- Support about price for product which customers want to buy or sell.

VII.
Products
Our product will be the e-commerce website and the classified advertising website at the same
time. Our customers are all companies and individuals needing to sell or buy goods or products on
the internet including all types of commodities in general from electronics, cosmetics, souvenirs,
and all real estate to service providers such as consulting beauty services, real estate broker
services or telecommunications services.
The product should include three main functions:
- Auto posting ads to other many ads websites.
- Ads management within system (such as: by categories, by searching …).
- Giving suggestion about price of product in market to customer (get price from websites selling
same product).
