JOB DESCRIPTION PITTSBURGH / ALLEGHENY COUNTY PROJECT MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM (MIS) SUPPORT FLSA Status: Exempt Duties and Responsibilities Employee will be responsible for planning, designing, reviewing, programming and implementing information systems for multiple projects undertaken for the Healthy Start project. Employee provides coordination support for network projects in collaboration with the Executive Director, Key Personnel, consultants and representatives from local agencies. Duties include: Design, support, maintain and evaluate computer networking systems. Install, configure, backup, and maintain servers and computers. Maintain employee network and other internal systems and software. Maintain company provided cell phones. Oversee day-to-day operations of computer networks, including hardware/software support, training, and special projects. Maintain LAN administrative and user documentation including hardware/software applications, support logs, and other related information. Establish and maintain user accounts, file sharing, access privileges and security. Analyze network logs and track the nature and resolution of problems. Schedule and perform network tasks, update anti-virus definition files, monitor, manage disk space, and provide internet and intranet user support. Establish and maintain user email accounts, provide email training and software support, manage anti-spam and anti-virus, research and support network configurations, and provide solutions to employee-identified problems. Provide updates and general maintenance of the Healthy Start website. Assist with the coordination of Healthy Start awareness events, campaigns, and volunteer activities. Assist with inventory and distribution of tangible goods and supplies. Assist with participant transportation when necessary. Maintain fleet of company owned vehicles including scheduled maintenance, oil changes, cleanings and insurance. Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor 1 of 2 Qualifications of Position A Bachelors of Science degree in computer science, graphic design, computer-aided drafting or related disciplines, and two (2) years of work related experience and/or equivalent experience and training. Health related research experience including participation in project development and evaluation of projects preferred. Supervisory Relationship This position functions with some level of independence and reports to the Director of Information Systems. Skills and Knowledge Required Current networking and hardware knowledge and experience Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Java and C+ coding skills Working knowledge of Windows servers and network equipment Ability to manipulate digital equipment including cameras, scanners, etc. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks at the same time and meet deadlines. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to transmit findings effectively in oral and written reports. Professional demeanor is required as you will interact with persons at all levels within the organization and in the community. Maintain an absolute commitment to protecting the confidentiality of employee and agency information handled on a daily basis. Must possess a valid unrestricted Pennsylvania Driver’s License. Must possess current and valid unrestricted automobile insurance and be listed as an insured driver. Personal transportation with employee listed as an insured driver on the vehicle used for work.
