(Due by Sept. 17, 2012) 1 box Kleenex 1 bottle of hand sanitizer COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course is designed for students who desire to learn Microsoft 2010. Students will have an opportunity to gain the basic skills necessary for employment in any business-related environment. They will learn the techniques and receive training on equipment/software used in many businesses today. Students will learn to use word processing software, database, spreadsheet, desktop publishing, and other applications. The students will also learn keyboarding techniques using an online keyboarding program. OFFICIAL STUFF: ABOUT MRS. ROBSON Mrs. Robson has been teaching at DPISD since 2004. Prior to that time she taught at San Jacinto College Central. She still teaches at San Jacinto College one night per week. She is married and has five children. Should you need to print something else, ask the instructor first. Printouts to the color printer MUST be approved first. Missed Classes: You are responsible for obtaining material after an absence by contacting a student, or checking online—Moodle or pick up handout from the make-up work folder at the back of the class near the color printer. Missed work must be made up outside normal class time. Mondays and Fridays—8:00-8:40 a.m.—you may come and use my classroom computers. Assignments: All assignments are due at the end of class on the date due. Late work is accepted the same week only for reduced credit. Electronic Devices: Use of cell phones and other devices in class is only permitted providing that an assignment requires it. Otherwise, your cell phones etc. should remain unseen. If seen, I will collect them and keep them during the entire class. If I have to collect the device more than once—it will be considered to be a discipline problem. Academic Dishonesty: Plagiarism and cheating are serious offenses and will be punished based on the student handbook policy.
