Teacher(s) Rachel Waranowicz
Date: 2/6-2/10
Lesson: 1/1
# Students: 26 Grade Level: 3-5
# Class Minutes: 40
Unit: Fitness Lesson Focus: Heart rate
Equipment: 2 jump ropes, 2 mats, 12 heart rate monitors, 12 pencils, 6 cones
What happened in the last lesson? Students finished up their underhand and overhand throwing stations.
I.
Learning Objectives: Behavior, (Condition), and [Criteria]. Include state standard(s), number(s), and write out standard(s)
a. Psychomotor: TSWBAT complete each fitness circuit station (with a partner) [for 30 seconds.] 4.1.1
b. Cognitive: TSWBAT test the accuracy of their heart rate hypothesis (by recording each circuit’s heart rate) [and evaluating their results.]
4.2.2
c. Affective: TSWBAT participate (with a positive attitude) [in new, challenging activities.] 4.7.3
II.
Teacher Objectives: What are your goals for the lesson?
a. Instructional: (1) TTWBAT rotate the stations on time.
b. Management: (1) TTWBAT give fox heads to the students who are behaving well and trying their best.
III.
IV.
V.
Safety Considerations: Students need to be mindful of the other surrounding stations as to not disturb or run into them.
Special Needs Modifications: students with disabilities may need to stay on a padded mat and use their walking aids. Students with
varying disabilities will have their permanent aids assisting them with the activities.
Alternative Activities: Students who refuse to participate will receive a time out in the black chairs and may re-enter the activity upon
talking with the teacher about the issue.
