Instructions: READ THESE THROUGH TWO TIMES and then ask any questions you have
- Keep up this paper, this will help determine your grade. Not losing this paper = part of your organization grade. If you lose it, you can print it from the blog and must start over getting
signatures, etc.
- Highlight the choices you will make each category you move to. HHS = Purple history book Heinemann History Scheme.
- Upon completion of each category activity, turn it in to the teacher. The teacher will check that you completed it correctly and will sign off their signature and the number of points
awarded on the box above you completed. Without the teacher’s signature you cannot move on to the next category.
- You will turn in this paper as part of your grade when you have completed everything on the day of your PEOPLE category presentation.
- To complete this unit, you must have a minimum total of 70 points. (Completion of an activity does not guarantee you all the points for that activity if it is not completed correctly and to
the BEST Of your ability. You may receive bonus points for completing up to 120 points.
- Note: You will have 1 class period to work on each category in class. Anything not completed in class becomes homework. You can choose to work ahead on these at home as you wish.
Focus your time in class on getting your work done, do not distract yourself working near your friends. You will be separated if you are off task during class. Getting the work done in class
means no/less homework.
- The PEOPLE category is to be completed ENTIRELY for homework – so begin working on that one NOW. Please do some research for your part, but DO NOT plagiarize
(copy) information.
Free Choice Explanation: Free choice is OPTIONAL. You may fill out a proposal form (provided by the teacher, also printable from the blog) explaining a different activity or option for learning
about the title subject for any of the above options. The proposal form must be turned in before the day of the proposed activity. You CANNOT complete a Free Choice activity until you have
received signed permission from the teacher. Staple your Free Choice forms to the back of this paper to keep up with them all, they must also be turned in so do not lose them. Free choice example
ideas can be found on a paper in the classroom, ask the teacher to see them. Although you can suggest to the teacher how many points your free choice should be worth, ultimately he teacher decides
how many points will be given for the activity.
Presentations for PEOPLE Category: This category is to be done completely for homework. Please work ahead on this at home and do not wait until the last minute. Presentations for this
category will happen TUESDAY NOVEMBER 10th & THURSDAY NOVEMBER 12TH.
