ENTRE 206: Advanced Entrepreneur/Capstone Creative destruction = entrepreneurship = money CCC NACCE 2009 11 ENTRE201- Introduction to Entrepreneurship DESCRIPTION: This interdisciplinary course introduces participants from various disciplines to the concept of sustainable entrepreneurship, a manageable process applicable across careers, work settings, and time. The course focuses on building entrepreneurial attitudes and behaviors that will lead to creative solutions within the business community and other organizational environments. Course topics include the history of entrepreneurship, the role of entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs in the 21st century global economy, and opportunity identification. The course will examine elements of creative problemsolving, development of an enterprise concept/model, examination of feasibility studies, and the social/moral/ethical implications of entrepreneurship. CCC NACCE 2009 12 .ENTRE201- Introduction to Entrepreneurship OBJECTIVES: This course focuses on the synthesis of ideas of entrepreneurship and intrepreneurship leading to the creation of a conceptual business summary. The student will become familiar with the basics of entrepreneurship. Opportunities will be identified and examined. Students will be challenged to examine ideas from different points of view using brain storming and creative problem solving techniques. Areas to be examined include operations, finance, marketing, sales, management, and associated risk(s) that will enable participants to make an informed decision regarding starting a business. Students will leave this course with at least one feasible business idea.
