Position Title : Data & Insights Manager Reports To : Data & Insights Director Location : Sydney or Melbourne Works With : Columbus: Head of Strategy & Product, Data & Insights Executive, Content & Social Strategist, Business Directors, National Experience Director, SEO & Content Managers, National Display Director, National Performance Partners Manager Dentsu Aegis: Business Directors, Digital Directors, Account Managers Role Overview: The Data & Insights Manager (DIM) is responsible for the implementation, delivery & project management of the Analytics product offering at Columbus, encompassing Google Analytics premium reseller obligations, implementations, ecommerce tracking and account audits. Demonstrated analytics implementation skills, high attention to detail, alongside great project management abilities are key attributes for candidates. A strong knowledge of website technologies, programming languages (JavaScript, CSS, HTML), tagging types and methodologies will be essential for a successful applicant. The Data & Insights Manager should be seen as a source of analytics technical knowledge for the entire Experience team in the first instance, as well as wider Columbus and Dentsu Aegis teams. Responsibilities: ANALYTICS: Complex implementations (beyond standard) of Google Analytics Project management of Google Analytics work including implementations, upgrades and account audits for multiple clients for Columbus on a national level Development of custom enhanced ecommerce implementations of Google Analytics for clients Utilising Google Tag Manager (or the like) to implement custom tracking solutions for clients Overseeing client support for Google Analytics Premium Development and delivery of customised/personalised platform training for clients PEOPLE: Deliver effective workflow across the Data & Insights team in order to meet deadlines, manage workloads and ensure projects are of consistent high quality. Collaborate with client teams to formulate strategies and uncover opportunities for clients while ensuring product features and people skills are fully leveraged. Attend and provide training where appropriate; developing relevant knowledge & techniques. Ensure work delivered by the Data & Insights Executives is of the highest standards, meets both Columbus and industry best practice and complies with Columbus branding guidelines Skills: SYSTEMS: In-depth knowledge of numerous analytics platforms, conversion and attribution tools ideally including: o Google Analytics is essential o Omniture and CoreMetrics desirable o DoubleClick – DCM, DS3 desirable Superior data manipulation skills, with a strong focus on Excel PowerPoint skills KNOWLEDGE & UNDERSTANDING: Highly developed analytics and strategic knowledge Excellent project management skills, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills Superior analytical and strategy skills Ability to analyze, interpret and draw conclusions from complex data sets Ability to differentiate insights from interesting facts SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES: Google Analytics Individual Qualification is mandatory Strong, professional and friendly manner in communication.
