Project Title :
Dignified Socio Economic Empowerment of Arunthathiyar Women from Erode District.
Project Objectives




To promote access to credit facilities for the Arunthathiyar women.
To promote economic status of Arunthatiyar women through self employment and micro
enterprises.
To promote social status and dignified living of Arunthathiyar women.
To reduce the vulnerability of Arunthathiyar women to private money lenders and their
harassment.
Project Area
The project focuses only on Dalit Arunthatiyar populated villages in Erode District.




Identification of most vulnerable women based on their economic status and family situation by
the federation leaders.
Orientation meeting with the identified beneficiaries on the concept of revolving fund and
repayment of loan amount.

Training of beneficiaries on entrepreneurship development and methods of earning profit from
their business. The concept of revolving fund, repayment of loan amount would also be taught
during the training programme.
Revolving of loan amount out of the repayment of first level of beneficiaries would be made
during the federation meeting.
Reporting and documentation of activities and sending of 6 months and one year report.
