4th Grade “Dog Days”- Room 217

Happy Friday! I hope the school year is
continuing to be a positive one for all families in
our classroom!
What are we Learning about?
 Math-continuing with unit 3: multiplication. I will
be sending home some possible activities to do
with your child. Please try to practice with them
as much as possible. We will be having a test next
Friday. Flash cards work. As well as fact
triangles. They can also tell you about the games
they play to help them. Everydaymathonline.com
 Science- continuing to work on ecosystems, with a
focus on food chains, food webs, and transfer of
energy.
 ELA- we had our Non-fiction structures quiz
today. We will be starting with setting (fiction)
next week in reading.
 Continuing our non-fiction animal reports.
Hopefully we will be using computers next week to
begin our final copies!

This past week, we were having some difficulties as
a class with respecting one another, and other
teachers in our room during class lessons, and
especially during share. Because we were having a
difficult time following rules, routines, and
procedures this week, we are taking a break from
share next week as well as Thanksgiving week
because it is a short week. We will pick up on share
starting the week after Thanksgiving.
