The members of the Butler County Community Development Corporation (CDC) celebrated the People. Purpose and Passion that are an integral part of Butler County's success at the organization's at their Annual Meeting on March 27th. The meeting featured David Morehouse, the President and CEO of the Penguins as the keynote speaker. The business portion of the meeting followed Morehouse’s presentation on the UPMC Lemieux Complex that will open later this summer in Cranberry Twp. and included the election of the 2015 CDC Officers. Josh Fye of Farmers National Bank of Emlenton was elected President and Janice Pakozdi-Luffy of Bear Metallurgical was elected Vice President/Treasurer. Other officers elected include Vice President: Jack Cohen (Butler County Tourism and Convention Bureau), Secretary: the Honorable William McCarrier (Individual Member), Past President: Jerry Andree (Cranberry Township) and Assistant Secretary Ken Raybuck. Individuals who were appointed to serve as CDC directors through 2018: Chuck Boory (Boory’s Business Machines); Chris Panian (Central Electric Cooperative); Dan Santoro (Herbert Roland Grubic, Inc.); A. Dale Pinkerton (Butler County); Dr. Nicholas Neupauer (Butler County Community College); Jeff Elser (First Energy); Bob Bowell (NexTier Bank); Dr. Tracy Vitale (Seneca Valley School District); Nish Vartanian (MSA Safety) and Bill Hunter (Hunter Family of Companies). Nicole Robinson of Bronder Technical Services will serve as the 2015 Leadership Butler County Board Member.
