together to present their first Winter Artisan event!!

Hello Artisans!!
This will be an annual event, and will feature only the finest of handcrafted products made in the
Okanagan.
Please ensure you read through this entire document.
Event description:
This is a juried event. All applicants will be considered based on quality, artistic merit and originality
of their hand crafted products.
We are following a two day wine lovers’ event – Big Reds at Big White, so the resort will be quite full!
The market will be held outdoors in heated tents located adjacent to the Village Center.
The Globe Café and Tapas Bar and the Blarney Stone Tavern will be serving hot beverages and are
offering their dining menu to vendors at a 20% discount.
Discounts on accommodations and lift passes will also be available to vendors.
 $55 per person per night (+ taxes) based on 2 sharing each room in a 2 bedroom condo with

 $115 per night (+taxes) for a hotel room for 1 or 2 people in the Inn at Big White. Arrange

Artisans at Altitude will be mentioned in radio ads promoting Big Reds at Big White. There will be an
event page on Big White’s Facebook page as well as, of course, promotion by all participating vendors.
The graphics team at the resort is busy working on the advertising and vendors will be sent links and
promo to share as they become available.
10% of the vendor fees will go to Big White’s Charity: Powderhounds Adaptive Ski Club
Application Process:
Completely fill out and sign the attached application. If you cannot provide a website where your work
can be viewed, please email pictures or arrange for a meeting to introduce your products.
Certain vendor categories are in very high demand. Vendors in these categories will learn their
application status by Monday November 9th 2015.
Once your application has been accepted, show fees must be received by Blaze Events within seven
days to secure your spot. After 1 week another vendor will be awarded the spot.
The introductory price for this event is $30 per vendor. If you would like a 6 foot table one can
be arranged for an additional $12. No requests are taken for specific spots. Venue will be organized
for best mix and vendor presentation.
 E-transfers
are the preferred method of payment. Please send E-transfers to info@blazeevents.ca

Vendor responsibilities:
 Please provide an email address that you check regularly. Application status, and show and set
up information are sent by email.
 Display and sell hand crafted items only.
Provide 1 donated item for the door prize basket(s). Items due by November 29th. Email me to make
arrangements for delivery.
 Prepare lots of business cards and/or brochures to promote yourself and your products. Feel
free to bring promo and handouts to promote other shows you are participating in.
 Have your booth completely set up by 11 AM. Set up will begin at 9 AM. Show ends at 5 PM. Noe
early packing up. Load in and out areas are: the Mountain Check In car park by the clock tower, or
next to the Loose Moose Emporium. Parking for the day will be in the Happy Valley Parking Lot and
you will take the gondola back up to the Village.
SPREAD THE WORD!!! A great deal of time and effort goes into promoting these events. It is up to
all of us to promote this show and help insure its success. All vendors are expected to participate in
the promotion of this show. Tell all of your friends and families about this event. Post it, tweet it, talk
