2. Declaration
Ignite uses the definition of disability contained in the UN Convention
on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD), which states:
‘The term ‘persons with disabilities’ is used to apply to all persons
with disabilities, including those who have long-term physical,
mental, intellectual or sensory impairments which, in interaction
with various attitudinal and environmental barriers, hinder their full
and effective participation in society on an equal basis with others.’

The lead local arts partner should be a venue, arts organisation or
festival in receipt of funding from the Arts Council/An Chomhairle
Ealaíon based in one of the three local authority areas.
An example of this could be 70% initial payment; 30% on completion.
Please include agreed date for final presentation.
The purpose of this memorandum of understanding is to ensure that
artist(s) and local arts partner(s) have reached agreement on essential
details in advance. The information it contains is primarily for use by the
parties to the agreement
