 He has a vision that he was sitting in a chair, wearing
a cloth made of gold. He thought that there was deep
black water under him with serpents, worms, and wild
beasts. Then the seat turns upside-down and he fell
among the creatures. Then he is woken up.
 Then he had a vision that Sir Gawain came to him
with a group of women, then warned him that if he
fights against Mordred tomorrow, he will die, as well
as most of the people on both sides.



A snake crawled out of a bush and bit a knight
on the foot. The knight then drew his sword and
killed the snake. When both parties saw the
sword drawn, they began their war cries and
saw this as the beginning of the battle.

Arthur asks Bedivere to take his sword to the
water’s side and throw it into the water, then


He says that he is a greedy man and only
preaches for money. He would rather take the
last penny from a widow and her starving family
than give up his money.

They weren’t able to take the gold into town during
the day, because people would think they stole it.
 The youngest goes to town to get wine for the men
to drink as they wait for night to come. The two men
who are left behind, decide to kill their friend when he
returns (so they can have a bigger share of the gold).
 The youngest comes up with a plan to put poison in
the wine to kill his two friends.

