Title: Based: Starting date: Business Development Manager – Ixaris Solutions Central London Immediate An opportunity for an established Commercial Payments Business Development Manager to step outside the traditional confines of Financial Institutions and join a leading FinTech player to challenge the status quo. We are currently hiring a Business Development Manager, reporting to the Commercial Director who will be responsible for: (a) the acquisition of new business from existing and new market segments, targeting large enterprise clients (b) identifying potential strategic partners and establishing relationships with such partners to deliver significant volumes of business to Ixaris (c) Expanding the solution sell capabilities for Virtual Prepaid payment solutions beyond the Travel & Travel Assistance verticals The ideal candidate for this role: 5+ years relevant industry experience selling payment solutions to the travel and/or travel assistance industry, with proven competence in communicating payment technology and payment service concepts An experienced practitioner across all aspects of the Sales Cycle understanding the demands through each step of the process through to Contract and pricing negotiation Comfortable delivering presentations both over the phone and in person to all levels of client organizations including senior treasury, finance and procurement teams An experienced solution selling campaigner with a track record of eliciting the customer's pain(s) and addressing the issue with his or her offerings (product and services) Experienced in delivering finely tuned responses to RFI/RFP processes from Enterprise level organisations. Accomplished orator capable of delivering deal closing Best and final presentations Key Responsibilities: Identify and develop opportunities with large enterprise customers and strategic clients/partners who may be unfamiliar with the Ixaris propositions, potentially in new market segments. Continually focused on prospect development and nurturing Performing the role of key facilitator in client meetings and workshops bringing in relevant Ixaris expertise as required. Create and deliver professional sales pitches taking the lead sales role where appropriate. Identify key roles within target client and partner organisations and develop strong relationships with the holders of those roles for the purpose of creating effective commercial relationships with their organisations. Develop and structure propositions and deals that result in commercially successful business partnerships – in terms of significant sustainable transaction volume, revenue and profitability – with large enterprise customers, channel partners and strategic clients/partners. Keep abreast of industry news and gather information on competitors and new payment services and opportunities, and awareness of our clients’ and partners’ response to these competing offerings. Planning & Forecasting: Create and maintain accounts plans for each client account and review these in regular one-to-one meetings with business unit owners and/or Management. Provide a rolling forecast of anticipated activity for each client and opportunity. Work effectively with other Ixaris staff and take the lead where appropriate regarding contracts, invoicing, payment chasing, etc. Implement best practices at the Account Management level. Represent organization at internal and external client conferences and trade shows. Personality / Attitude: Ability to work with products and technologies at their earliest stage of development. Ability to understand client requirements, and use these to contribute recommendations to the shaping of our products.
