Udaan Scheme – An Introduction
Objectives
Background
An ‘Expert Group’ was set up by the
Prime Minister vide PMO notification no.
670/57/C/15/2010-ES-1 dated August 18,
2010 in the context of enhancing the
employment opportunities in J&K and
formulating a job plan involving both the
public and private sectors

A Special Industry Initiative for J&K as a
partnership between the corporates of
India and Ministry of Home Affairs

A program to provide skills training and
enhance the employability of 40,000
unemployed youth of J&K
