‫ פרשת וילך‬/ ‫שבת שובה‬
Parashat Va-yeilekh / Shabbat Shuvah
6 Tishrei, 5776 / September 19, 2015
Triennial Cycle Year II: Deuteronomy 31:1-30
Ḥumash Etz Ḥayim, page 1173
Haftarah: Hosea 14:2-10; Joel 2:15-27, page 1234
1. (31:1-13) I am 120 years old today. On the last day of his life, Moses encourages
the Israelites to conquer the land; publicly transfers leadership of the nation to
Joshua; commands the priests to read the Torah before the entire people of Israel
assembled at the end of the Sabbatical year.
2. (31:14-30) And now, write down this song. A song that serves as a prophetic
witness for the future if you will violate the covenant.

you!
