Communication
• Education is a partnership between home and school, and
parent involvement is certainly valued. Should you wish to
contact me for any reason, the easiest and most effective way
to do so is via e-mail. If you wish to personally discuss any
issue or concern regarding your child I am always available to
schedule a conference. Please call guidance to arrange this.
Classroom Rules & Procedures
• READY- be on time with all materials ready to learn
• Follow directions immediately and exactly
• RESPONSIBLITY- take responsibility for your education and for
your own actions
• RESPECT- respect the people and things around you at all
times
• Keep hands, feet and objects to yourself
• No foul language
• No eating or drinking liquids other than H2O
• Palm Beach County School District Policies and Rules must be
followed at all times
• The students must adhere to RPBH dress code

Academic Expectations
• Each student is expected to give me their optimum attempt to
complete assignments within the assigned time period.
Students are also expected to participate in every class.

Tutoring
• The National Honor Society provides tutoring for all subjects on
Thursday from 3 – 4 p.m. in the Media Center. Students MUST be
there by 3 p.m. or the tutors may leave to go home.
• I tutor by appointment for the time being
• Science Help: FCAT EXPLORER FOR Pre- Aice Biology, ted talks,
crash course,Bozeman Biology
• Bozeman Biology, Khan Academy, Crash course, various videos on
AICE material
EXAMS
• Pre-AICE has an EOC worth 30% of their grade.
• To earn a scholar diploma they must pass the EOC- see
guidance for all EOC information on scholar diploma
• AICE BIOLOGY- AICE TEST IN MAY
• There are three parts
• 1. multiple choice
• 2. written
• 3. lab
INB- interactive notebooks for
Pre-Aice
• Information is most useful when it is organized(Science for All
Americans,1990)
• We will be using an interactive notebook this year.
• Physically organizing class materials will increase your success
in my class
• Notebooks will be graded- they are valuable organizational
and learning tools. It is a school requirement and 10% of your
grade
Homework and Classwork
• All work should be labeled with name, date, class period and a
title
• I prefer name, date and period to be in the right hand corner
• Students are to check my website and ed-line regularly

Teacher Instruction Procedure
• During teacher instruction I expect students to be quiet and raise
their hand to ask and answer questions
• I do not like to see heads on the table, if they are not feeling well I
am happy to write them a pass to the nurse
• During lab and other assignments I gladly encourage the students
to interact with each other quietly
• If the restroom is needed they are to fill out the bathroom pass
without major interruption to the class
Student Procedures
• The students should enter my classroom quietly ( hall door)
• Place homework in the appropriate bin
• They should look at my front whiteboard and the screen for
instructions, assignments and homework
• Students are expected to use their notes and textbook to help
them find answers
• Students should be checking Ed-line for grades and
drfuchs.weebly.com for information and assignments,
reminders
• If they are have a TLE to be signed they are to sign TLE book
and leave it in the book for me to sign in the book and check
at end of class

preceding steps will be
bypassed and the AP’s will
be called immediately.
Absent
• If absent the student is to look on my website and the bin
that is labeled absent information, if unsure or confused they
are to ask me for help
• They have 2 days to complete missed assignments
• Make up tests and quizzes should be done within 1 week.
They are to do this after school by appointment.
