Role Overview:
The Experience Director should be seen as a source of content strategy, accountability, social engagement &
analytical acumen knowledge for the entire Experience team in the first instance, as well as wider Columbus and
Aegis teams.
Working closely with the HOSP, the Experience Director is responsible for driving the Experience product
nationally.
A strong understanding of SEO techniques is critical as the Experience Director should provide services to the
existing Columbus client base as well contributing fully to any new business pitches through the Holistic of
traditional SEO products, content & analytics integrated in a Digital Strategy defined by the centre of excellence.
The Experience Director is also responsible for feeding into the ongoing development of the Experience Product,
along with its integration across the Performance team & any other wider projects.
The Experience Director will be responsible for the product growth & development, working with the HOSP to
bring a forward thinking and profitable channel to the market. The Experience Director will have full
accountability of the Experience Product team’s skills across all relevant areas; ensuring team satisfaction and
performance remain of utmost precedence – across states where applicable.
Roles & Responsibilities:
PRODUCT LEADERSHIP & INNOVATION:







Be a champion of the Columbus Experience Product across the Australian marketplace
Work with HOSP to build awareness and reputation of product including conference speaking and white
papers where relevant
Work with HOSP to continuously grow and develop a forward Experience Product across content
strategy, creation, development, social engagement, PR and beyond whilst integrating with the centre of
excellence.
Own strategic initiatives with the HOSP focusing on the development of Experience Product offering,
including implementation of content marketing initiatives, processes & frameworks alongside analytical
insights and KPI development techniques.
Deliver effective workflow across Content, Social & Analytics projects nationally.
Collaborate with Business Directors to formulate strategies and uncover Experience projects nationally
that also have a commercial impact on Columbus in terms of Revenue.
Act as the final authority and point of contact on Experience Product strategies for all Columbus staff
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT & TRAINING:
 Ensure the Experience Product team members are continually developing relevant skills; providing
training where appropriate
 Actively promote the involvement & engagement of Columbus College. Lead, inspire & motivate all
Experience staff to attend specific course curriculum to diversify their product knowledge




Work in conjunction with your other market ED to lead all Columbus College content, ensuring
engagement is broken down per level within the business
Actively showcase our Experience product evolution in a marketing friendly document every 6 months to
DAN and our client base
Work with the GM & Business Directors to oversee Experience Product financials, timesheets, billings,
POs & budgets for assigned client business.
Attend and provide training where appropriate; developing relevant knowledge, techniques and skills
nationally where applicable.
AGENCY AND STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT:
 Develop close working relationships with clients & suppliers to provide strategic analysis, campaign,
attribution and conversion strategies and implementations; supported by the Business Directors.
 Work alongside HOSP to build relationships with wider Aegis business and client leads and other
Diversified Services, championing the Experience Product.
 Work closely with Aegis key contacts to deliver highly integrated Experience Product services
 Be the product expert for a client’s business, working with the Business Directors and HOSP to educate
and promote.
 Work with the HOSP and Business Directors to continuously raise the profile of Columbus to the wider
group by presenting product updates & communication sessions.
CLIENT:
 Define key performance indicators and implement accountable Experience Product strategies, in line
with agreed business objectives, providing reporting methods to gauge success.
 Develop close working relationship with client leads and wider Experience team to ensure the approach
is integrated where possible
 Attend client meetings where appropriate to provide strategic product insight
 Acquire strong understanding of client websites, internal challenges, capabilities, development plans in
order to feed back into strategy and full Columbus product.
 In conjunction with the Business Director, ensure the client is fully across the scope of the Experience
Product to be able to effectively engage with Columbus.
SYSTEMS:
 In-depth understanding of social, content & analysis tools in the market
 Advanced technical knowledge of CMS and backend systems, including front and back end
programming languages to ensure awareness of potential technical impacts/requirements
 Advanced PowerPoint skills – both in style and presentation.
KNOWLEDGE & UNDERSTANDING:
 Highly developed content marketing, client management and strategic knowledge
 Significant experience with off-site link building techniques and their KPIs alongside in-depth
understanding of social engagement techniques & KPIs
 Superior analytical and strategy skills
