Major Milestones
– May 2007 – Mandayam Iyengars Yahoo Group Established
– June 2007 – 1st Newsletter developed and distributed through Yahoo
Group
– Aug 2007 – 1st Coordinators teleconference
– Sept 2007 – IT group established in San Jose
– Feb 2008 – ‘Mandayams’ Website established
– April 2008 – Informal meeting held in LA to kick-start incorporation

Where are we today ? (RS)
Organization Incorporation
– Officially incorporated ‘Mandayams’ organization in the state of
California in Feb 2009
– Mission Statement (some major objectives)
 Provide a community support and networking for Mandayams globally, new
immigrants, students and visitors from India
 Exchange information between us to help/support each other for maintaining
our cultural identity and establishing an awareness of Iyengar
traditions/events
 Keep us connected with other Mandayams globally
 To enrich life and value systems through art, culture and theater.
 To provide educational programs on Healthy Living.
 To collect demographics for this group.
 To organize volunteers to do humanitarian, educational and charitable
projects for Mandayams globally
