ALLOCATION FACTOR(S)
This is professional work coordinating clemency, control release, interstate compact, and parole
revocation program activities or assisting in receiving, establishing and monitoring offenders received
for probation, incarceration and other related types of field supervision or investigation
EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:

Reviews and processes cases for transfer under interstate compact, reacts to reports received
from other states for case being supervised in Florida.
Provides initial direction to persons received for supervision, investigation or incarceration.
Keeps the official dockets for weekly Commission panel voting meetings.
Obtains, verifies and documents offender identifying data at time of intake.
Represents the Commission in contact with public officials, other governmental agencies and
the public.
Initiates and reviews complete recision hearing reports.
Assigns to offices, monitors investigations and establishes completion date requirements and
responds to status inquiries.
Ensures accurate information in the Investigative Tracking System and generates reports for
management.
Establishes and monitors offender restitution payments, cost of supervision, court costs and
other related payments.
Compiles background information; prepares comprehensive reports and supplemental reports
for the Executive Clemency Board on assigned clemency applications.
Prepares and reviews progress reports, work release recommendations, custody reclassification
score sheets and release assistance contracts with direction from administrators.
Reviews reports and confers with Revocation Specialists regarding the return of violators to the
Department of Corrections custody, issuance of warrants, or other appropriate actions.

Obtains and interprets legal data on sentencing guidelines score sheets in order to correctly
complete and code the document.
Enters score sheets in the Sentencing Analysis Guidelines Entry System (SAGES) data base.
Prepares recision cases for Commission discussions and follows through with publication of
appropriate Commission orders.
Obtains Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) registration information at reception or
intake of an offender.
Generates data reports for management and monitors data entered into the management
information system for accuracy, completeness and timeliness of entry.
Coordinates community work release activities and monitors community service hours required
by the sentencing authority(s).
Sets up offender records containing all required forms and documents.
Establishes initial computer record for offenders assigned to supervision or incarceration.
Assists in compiling and processing and processing documentation for specialized caseloads
such as close management, protective management, death row and transitional and
stabilization care unit inmates.
Investigates and develops information to assist in responding to grievances, inquiries,
correspondence and litigation.
Assists in monitoring institution labor needs and tracking inmates work/program assignments.
Assists in maintaining American Correctional Association files.
Assists in coordinating the new inmate orientation program.
Serves as Interstate Detainer Compact coordinator to assist in processing and tracking inmates
with out-of-state detainers.
Assists in coordinating the Pre-Release orientation program.
Assists in completing the interstate compact supervision transfer documents prior to inmate's
release.
Assists in preparing and developing release plans for special needs inmates, once the need has
been established.
Performs related work as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Professional or non-professional experience in parole, probation, sworn law enforcement,
public investigations, clemency, victim services work or corrections work which includes
auditing, coding, verifying sentence data and guidelines, custody and care and inmate
classification experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college
education.
