Drakes Den - Party Booking Terms and conditions
Refund and Cancellation Policy




Please note that for any bookings you will be charged a non refundable deposit. The deposit
amount is £25 for a birthday party, or £50 for a Private hire or Party Bus hire.
Should you need to cancel the booking then you will lose your deposit, and any other monies
paid up to the cancellation date.
Should you need to move your booking then it is at the sole discretion of the management as
to whether they will allow this. In the event that this is not possible then you will have deemed
to have cancelled the booking and will lose your deposit & other monies paid up to the
cancellation date.

General Terms and Conditions

















At all times children are the responsibility of the supervising adult/hirer. Drakes Den does not
provide services of supervision to children using the centre.
Drakes Den staff members are present to ensure the correct use of the Play equipment,
access first aid facilities and to implement the centre rules.
Socks must be worn at all times.
Only food and beverages purchased at the centre may be consumed on the premises unless
you have a Private hire of the whole centre.
No food or beverages may be taken in or consumed on the play equipment
Smoking is strictly prohibited within the building at all times. Smoke alarm sensors operate
throughout the centre.
Our play equipment is only designed for use by children aged 0yrs to 11yrs.
Use of foul and abusive language is prohibited.
Threatening or intimidating behaviour towards any of our staff or other customers will not be
tolerated, and will be reported to the police.
Anyone deemed to be under the influence of intoxicating beverages or illegal substances will
be refused entry to the centre & may be reported to the police/local services.
The company does not accept responsibility for lost or damaged possessions.
All children & adults participate at their own risk. The company does not accept liability for
loss or injury of whatever nature, caused through misuses of the equipment or lack of parental
supervision or failure to comply with the Centre Rules.
The company reserves all rights to admission/refusal of admission.
The company reserves the right to alter times, attractions and prices without prior notification.
Parties must arrive on/just before the start of their booking. Extra time cannot be added to the
end of a party due to late arrival; late arrivals may miss their party in which case no refund will
be offered.
Drakes Den is still open to other members of the public during your party, except in the case
of a Private hire.
Please notify changes in group size for any party booking 7 days before your party booking.
Should you bring fewer children on the day than you have booked for we reserve the right to
charge the full amount for the absent children.


Final balance payments must be received, with confirmation of numbers attending at least 7
days in prior to the party date; If not received you risk losing your booking and any monies
paid to date.

Additional Play Bus Information





















The hirer/parent must ensure there is adequate space and safe parking for the Play bus. The
bus is a full size double decker. It must be firm, level ground and safe for the children to enter
and exit the bus. Easy access and egress must also be possible for the bus.
Should the bus be unable to access, exit or park safely, the party will be cancelled with no
refund.
The hirer must provide toilet facilities (there are none on the bus).
The hirer agrees to inform all members of the group that the event is booked and of all the
terms and conditions and agrees to ensure that the conditions are adhered to.
You, the party booker, agree to indemnify the Seller in full against all losses, costs, damages,
charges and expenses incurred by Drakes Den as a result of a cancellation by you.
If you do not pay the balance by the due date, we, Drakes Den, will be entitled to regard the
booking as cancelled and no refund will be payable.
Drakes Den will not take responsibility for any delay in reaching any venue due to road works,
traffic delays or any other highway hazard.
Should the party bus be unable to reach your party location due to a mechanical/electrical
fault on the bus, Drakes Den will inform you as soon as possible, and will offer an alternative
or full refund. Clients must ensure Drakes Den have the correct contact details for the party
booker at all times.
When the bus is booked for a party the price quoted will NOT include parking, additional
charges will be made if appropriate.
The hirer will be responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle by any member of the
party bookers group. The party booker will also be responsible for any damage caused to the
interior or exterior of the vehicle as a result of incitement. You also have to ensure that you
and your group do not behave in such a way that puts safety to others at risk, or means that
damage to the bus may occur.
You may not eat, smoke, or drink on the bus, only party food will be allowed in the allocated
area by the Drakes Den bus driver. Chewing Gum is forbidden.
No Animals are allowed onto the bus at any time.
The hirer is responsible to ensure that everyone in their party wears suitable clothing.
The hirer booker must ensure that all necklaces, chains and any other jewellery are removed
from all party members before playing.
The hirer must leave the bus in a clean and tidy condition to the satisfaction of the driver. The
Hirer must look after the equipment and ensure that nothing is removed from the play bus at
any time.
The Hirer must make themselves known to the driver on the day of booking.
The Hirer must ensure and is responsible for ensuring that all outdoor footwear is removed
when entering the bus.
The Hirer must ensure there is adult supervision at all times.
Safety is our paramount concern, therefore if any of our staff see members of your group
jeopardizing our safety policy they will be entitled to remove them from the bus and those
people will have to make their own way from that point. No refund will be due. Anyone
behaving in a careless or irresponsible manner which might cause an accident will be
suspended.
Drakes Den does not accept responsibility for any loss, damage, inconvenience, injury or
death arising from any accident, breakdown or delay attributable to reasons beyond the
control of the seller.
Drakes Den cannot be responsible for any valuables.
Drakes Den asks that no people enter the play bus until requested to do so, and also exit
promptly when asked, especially at the end of the party/booking
MISCELLANEAOUS
Drakes Den will not be liable (other than liability for death or personal injury resulting from the
Seller's negligence) for loss, injury or damage caused by third parties provided by the Seller
where such loss, injury or damage arises from the act of omission of the third party.




Drakes Den liability to the Hirer (other than liability for death or personal injury resulting from
the Seller's negligence) for any loss or damage of any nature: (a) arising from any breach of
the Conditions; or (b) any negligence, breach of statutory or other duty on the part of Drakes
den; or (c) in any other way out of or in connection with the non-performance of or purported
non-performance of, or failure to perform the Services in accordance with the Conditions will
be limited to no more than the total cost of the booking.
The Contract is between Drakes Den and the Hirer as principals and may not be assigned by
the Hirer without the express written consent of the Seller.
Drakes Den is in default of any of its obligations hereunder, it shall not be liable where such
default is due to any act of God, war, strike, lockout, industrial action, fire, flood, drought,
tempest, snow, mechanical breakdown or any other event beyond the reasonable control of
the Seller. In such circumstances, the Seller shall give notice to the Hirer where possible, and
be entitled to retain the initial deposits and be released from performance of its obligations
hereunder to the extent the event of supervening impossibility prevents or restricts the Seller's
performance.
Drakes Den staff members are present to ensure the correct use of the Play equipment,
access first aid facilities and to implement the centre rules.
Drakes Den Play Centre Rules of Play:
PARENTS OR GUARDIANS MUST OVERSEE THEIR CHILDREN AT ALL TIMES. OUR SUPERVISORS ARE
HERE TO MONITOR, GUIDE AND ENSURE SAFE PLAY FOR ALL.
CHILDREN WILL NOT BE ADMITTED WITHOUT AN ADULT CARER.
A MAXIMUM OF FOUR CHILDREN TO ONE CARER IS ADVISED.

NO CHILDREN OVER 4ft 10 ins. TALL MAY USE THE FACILITIES.
UNACCEPTABLE AND DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOUR WILL BE CHALLENGED.
CHILDREN SHOULD HAVE THEIR ARMS AND LEGS COVERED TO PREVENT FRICTION BURNS ETC.
NO SHOES IN THE PLAY AREAS - SOCKS TO BE WORN.
NO SHARP OR HARD OBJECTS ARE ALLOWED IN THE PLAY AREA.
NO JEWELLERY, BADGES, LOOSE BELTS, TIES, ETC.
NO FOOD OR DRINK SHOULD BE TAKEN INTO THE PLAY EQUIPMENT.
NO GLASS SHOULD BE TAKEN INTO THE PLAY AREA.
ADULTS ARE ALLOWED ON THE PLAY FRAME TO SUPERVISE AND MONITOR THEIR CHILDREN
ONLY.
ONLY ONE PERSON AT A TIME SHOULD USE THE SLIDES (PER LANE OR SINGLE SLIDE).
AT BUSY TIMES PLAY PERIODS MAY BE LIMITED TO TWO HOURS
