It’s All Greek to Me!
Mythology Project
Name_____________________
Period_______
You researched Greek gods/goddess, monsters, and heroes during the mythology study. For
this assignment you are to choose one of them and create a product in which that god/goddess,
monster, or hero would be well-known for! Use some sort of persuasive propaganda technique
to sell said product in a visual. Some of the techniques used to persuade would be: bandwagon,
glittering generalities, emotional appeal, or testimonials.
The following information is to help guide you through this project and should be included in
the format you present it in. These are just notes. You will write a paragraph(s) for the final.
1) Name of god/goddess, hero, or monster.
2) Thorough background information about the god or goddess (parents, siblings, married,
where is he/she from?, where does he/she live?, how do mortals worship them?, early youth
and development, how were they born?)
3) Special talents, skills, or traits (god of moon, strong, beautiful...)
4) Weaknesses or areas that cause trouble for the god or goddess (love weakness, liar..)
5) What persuasive technique best fits the product? AND why you chose this technique?
