• Objective: The student knows that in asexual reproduction all inherited
triats come from a single parent. The students understands that there are
several methods of asexual reproduction.
• Engage: Question of the day? What factors influence an organisms
characteristics? (Formative Assessment)
• Explore: Asexual Reproduction in Sea Stars
• Explain: Passing traits from parents to offspring allows species to
survive. In asexual reproduction, the offspring are produced from just one
parent. Organisms reproduce asexually by splitting into two, by forming
buds, by developing spores, or by producing offspring from a piece of the
parent.
