Course Description
Health class will consist of increasing an individual’s capacity to use basic
health information and services in ways to enhance their health. Students
will comprehend and demonstrate concepts related to health issues and be
able to make responsible decisions that relate to their health needs.

Grading is done on a point basis. Total Points Earned divided by Total Points
Possible.

Grades consist of: health projects, chapter tests, quizzes, chapter review,
lesson reviews, current events, health labs, midterm, final.
Extra Credit—will be offered with a deadline
Make-up Work
Students are responsible for make up work. School Corporation Make-up
Work. (Student Handbook)
Midterm grades will be sent out at the middle of each 9 week grading period.
Classroom Management Plan
-Be on time and your seats with proper materials when the bell rings.
-No foul language/profanity or being disrespectful
-Raise hand for questions. Don’t speak while others are talking
-No candy, food, drinks
-No sleeping or having the appearance of sleeping
-Cheating will result in a zero on the test, assignment, etc.
-No gaming on computers unless given permission
