THEME: FOUNDATIONS AND THE LOW ORDER OF CHANGE
FOUR REVEALING QUESTIONS:
When the FBI is looking for one of the 10 most wanted in the world, they will no doubt make
note of certain physical characteristics:
 COLOR OF HAIR
 COLOR OF EYES
 HEIGHT
 WEIGHT, etc
Because they know that each of the above factors can be easily changed, they look for
other things, Factors that we have called “CORE ISSUES”. A person’s core values are at
the lowest order of change, while the above listed things are on a high order of change.
We will list here four questions fundamental to a person’s CORE VALUES. These values
make it more difficult to hide because they are at the very core of a person’s BEING.
Therefore not only the F.B.I. but even God, and therefore the devil is interested in
these revealing values and monitor them closely.
WHAT ARE THEY?

WHAT DO YOU LOVE?

WHAT DO YOU HONOR?

WHAT DO YOU FEAR?

WHAT DO YOU OBEY?
True core values:
CORE ISSUES:
Because Core values change so little and so slowly, the FBI for example will
want to know about any spiritual and, or religious leanings In the makeup of
the person they are searching for. Why? Because Core values create core
issues that seldom change. God is interested in these things because if
selfishness exists in the person (for example), the most damaging place it can
be is in the LOW order of change. To bring meaningful change at the core
level represents a hard thing and will require “LOVE from a pure Heart
FERVENTLY”, which produces much CONFIDENCE and much TRUST
(Job.13:15a -KJV)
(Who and what you are, is resident deep within your inmost being and personality and is hard to change)
If god therefore is interested in these things, the devil is as well: “the devil wants what you love, because
he knows that these are handles into your inmost being and personality. If he can’t have what you love
. . . He wants you to love what he has.
LOVE is the devil’s greatest weapon against those who walk upright.
PRINCIPLE #1:
WHEN THE BELIEVER’S WALK IS BASED UPON A LOVE RELATIONSHIP WITH THE MOST-HIGH, IT CAUSES THE
INDWELLING CHRIST TO REVEAL HIS TENDER HEART; IT IS THE REVELATION OF THE TENDER HEART OF JESUS
THAT IGNITES THE SPIRITUAL PORTION OF THE BELIVER’S WALK AND WITNESS (Jn.14:17-23)!
Because the above is true, OUR greatest weapon against the enemy is LOVE; LOVE for God!

INTERCESSION AND PRAYER DEPARTMENT
PRAYER OBJECTIVE(S) (An overview)
THE PURPOSE OF THIS DOCUMENT: is to provide an overview of the ministry’s primary,
secondary and tertiary coverage areas for the purpose of detailed prayer, Spiritual and physical
ministry as well as general shepherding. The Coverage area is divided into sub-sizes for physical
management of resources and territory.
AREA DIVISIONS:
1. ZONE(s)
2. LANE(s)
3. CORRIDOR(s)
4. GRIDS
PRAYER: “Is PRE-ACTION Evangelism – Get down and pray until you see it. Get up and go
do what you saw. This is called Prophetic Evangelism (Act.11.5-7, Act.16.9, 10)
ULTIMATE WIDSOM: “Observe and resolve the issues of life, from GOD’s perspective”.
BASIC EVANGELISM: (Intercession in Action)
Typically Evangelism recognizes three coverage areas for missionary work:
1. E1- has the least amount of Obstacles and Barriers. Typically the great majority of
people speak the same language, have the same culture and traditions, Look and Act
alike. Finally they are in an area that is nearest the originating Church
2. E2- Usually has a few more Obstacles, like a different neighborhood, maybe a few
language hurdles and some minor cultural differences. Travel time is normally not
very great and not very challenging.
3. E3- At this level, Obstacles and Barriers are their greatest. Travel time(s) are much
enhanced (Sea(s), Ocean(s), Mountains, Unimproved Dirt Roads, etc. Language and
culture begins to increase in levels of difficulty. Time involved increases as Sojourns
supersede mere travel, by becoming more and more necessary.
LET US GO AT ONCE TO ENTREAT THE LORD
(Zac.8:21)
SIMPLE DEFINITION: “Bringing the Message”
(Act.15:9, 10))
CONTROLLING OUR TERRITORY:
ZONES:
ZONE-3
ZONE-2
ZONE-1
The ZONES are E1, E2, and E3. If each zone represents one mile, the Church coverage area is a radius of
three miles around the Church itself, which is ground Zero. When properly divided, E3 will be the
narrowest band width, E2 will be slightly wider, and, E1 will be broadest. In this manner, each Zone will
contain an equal number of homes to be covered in INTERCESSORY PRAYER. Each Church must
determine the size and number of zones they choose to control. It may please the prayer Department to
increase the size of each zone, but remember you will Prayer Walk each zone in order to map it for
Evangelism and in-depth Prayer projects (Door-to-Door.)
LANES: (EAST & WEST)
Let’s pretend that Boulevards run East and West in your city. The East and West boundary therefore of
major prayer lanes would be formed by these Boulevards and such divisions would make it easy to divide
area responsibilities to separate prayer groups in your Prayer Department. The divisions form a grid and
each grid can be mapped and tracked for progress and for follow-up.
CORRIDORS: (NORTH & SOUTH)
Having discussed our East/West Boundaries (which we call LANES), we can now say: If
Avenues run North and South then these would help by forming Corridors between the lanes. As
LANES and CORRIDORS intersect, they form GRIDS and each GRID helps us to do detail
controlling of your PRAYER MAP.
GRIDS (INTERSECTIONS OF LANES &
CORRIDORS)
As each four intersections of our divisions form a GRID, these will be used to concentrate
PRAYER EFFORTS and CAMPAIGNS, thereby affording manageable control segments of our
overall territory. If each GRID is numbered, then the first 6 GRIDS in E1 (Zone-1) is the theatre
of our first campaign!
CAMPAIGNING:
If each campaign has a fixed number of steps then we should be able to monitor each step and
each stage of each campaign that we open in our territory

INTERCESSION IN ACTION:
TRUE Spiritual and Religious witness knocks on the windows of Heaven which God opens to
men. It also opens the DOOR, of which Jesus has said “I AM ...the door, through me the
sheep go in and out and, find good pasture. Without this Spiritual witness, men find that they
are unable to maintain right relationships over which God has commanded them to take
dominion in LOVE!

SUMMARY & REVIEW:
Boniface – Evangelistic/Frontier Minister during the 8 Century AD:
first to use women in the mission fields along side of men. He believed that the intercessor
should be on site in order to pray with insight as dynamic events unfolded, instead of hearing of
it later, by letter.
Boniface believed that when you bring the good news to a savage or an ignorant man, you create
a responsibility to educate that man, so that he could live up to the responsibility that you have
created within him, by bringing him light. To leave him ignorant and ill-equipped to walk
upright before God, would be a greater wrong then not bringing light at all and since he is now
your brother, you owe him your best. Boniface was the first to establish whole & entire school
systems in the wilds. As a young Black man in the Deep South I was blessed by the most
modern classrooms and methods, while most blacks in my town went to school in a Church
where every grade gathered in one room and had one teacher!

PRACTICAL APPLICATION:
In Rev.12.11, we are given a simple formula for success... (not simple to provide, but simple to
apply) all we need are two things:
1). The BLOOD of the LAMB.
2). WORD of our testimony.
In his book "Evangelism Explosion", Dr. D. James Kennedy gives us some very good techniques
for presenting Salvation in an ideal situation. Those who have a copy of "E.E." may see this for
themselves. In our on efforts at AGAPE’-Works’ PRAYER MINISTRIES however, we will try a
formula that is a bit more simple and direct (see the Teleministry Handbook).
The Cycle of Events should follow this simple course:
1).
Relax the Person(s) as much as is practical. (Use comments about personal occurrences
or current events)
2).
Get permission to ask a few questions.
3).
FIRST QUESTION: Are you familiar with the Bible or the things of GOD?
4). SECOND QUESTION: Do you know what it means to be "Born Again"? (If yes answer,
ask for explanation)
5). Thank them for their answers, give your personal testimony, and then proceed to go
over the five Theological Basics, in as much detail as you deem practical. (see section 1.2 for
quick guide)
EVANGELISMISINTERCESSIONINACTION
(JHN.5:19, 30 – Act.16:9, 10)
Much to be admired …
So very much to be admired, in so many ways, for so many reasons; we find that
Jesus was skilled at what we call HEURISTICS (… a simple interface to a complex set
of tasks for the purpose of understanding). Because He shined at this teaching
technique we receive deep and powerful spiritual truths in such a way that even
young children understand their meaning and how they work.
Using these methods will help us carry forward our lessons on prayer and
Intercession in such a way that we keep most of our audience and help them forget
that this is a subject that many in the Church turn to for emergencies … while they
crowd into socials and lunches in much greater numbers, and more often.
This underscores our human tendency to cater to, and build up the flesh while giving too little
attention to the great needs of the SPIRIT MAN.

LOVE AND THE GOSPEL OF MATTHEW
Pastor J. Harold Martin
STRUCTURE & DESIGN:
LOVE-LESSON ONE - ORIENTATION and APPLICATION:
When we are done with this session, the student will be able to view the transition between the Old and
New Covenants. We will answer the following questions:
 Where are the Ethics of the Kingdom found?
 The Dynamics of the Kingdom are found where?
 What is the chief lesson of the ministry and life of Jesus Christ?
ADAM CLARKE’S COMMENT:
The old and the new Covenants are two (2Cor.3.13-17) but when put together they represent a
single system. This system is made up of:
 Justice
 Holiness
 Goodness (Righteousness)
 Truth
We add to this, that without LOVE the system fails, and this is precisely the element that Jesus
adds to the whole (Jn.13.34) (Matt.22:35-40). When allowed to fade to the background proper
loving becomes more and more dormant while legalism increases and the natural man becomes
almost bibliolatrous (Bible Worshippers). (Such thinking killed Jesus). Matthew shows us how
this was known from the beginning by the Father, and completely fulfilled by the Christ of the
Gospels whose answer to Pilate MIGHT have been: “YES, I AM THE KING … (but not just of
the Jews (Matt.27:11)”.
PURPOSE OF A CATALYST:
Every element our body takes into itself is only made use of through its catalyst. Without the
proper catalyst the element would only pass through us and not be assimilated by our digestive
system. God’s system works very well of course, but without LOVE the other elements in God’s
system are too soon perverted. Once perverted these elements become oppressive and
degenerative; while to the extent that LOVE is mixed in, the elements become stronger and
stronger, even taking on ETERNAL VALUES inside of a temporal heart and converting it (Until
GOD Himself is resident (2Pet.1:2-7)NEB).
ILLUSTRATION:
I stayed up alone and watched a late night T.V. program about a Caveman. The story seemed
overly sad, when the caveman suffered a tremendous loss (his whole village). Walking on alone
the caveman seemed to be crying as he passed a young turtle turned over on its back and
struggling. The scene turned to the turtle’s struggle until suddenly a human hand picked up the
young struggler and gently set him up right. I was quite surprised to see the caveman had
comeback even in the midst of his own suffering to help what seemed insignificant in
comparison to the weight of his own pains. That scene revealed tremendous sensitivity in what I
thought of as a barbarian. Beyond intelligence, beyond direct involvement beyond any coercive
need, the caveman’s act revealed a tremendous selfless mindset and a tender merciful heart. It
was all underscored as the caveman turned and continued his sad wandering journey.
Now, let us examine Righteousness which is three things:
 RIGHT STANDING with God (Your sins are forgiven you …)
 RIGHT BEING (The heart of that Caveman resistant to selfishness)
 RIGHT DOING (An extension of who and what you really are) after God’s declaration
And the BELIEVER’S Reception of God’s WORD)
Whatever caused that Caveman to love the wellbeing of the turtle in spite of his own great
suffering, reveals the necessary ingredient to make God’s system work. (Lev.19:18)
PRAYER FOUNDATIONS CLASS
Q&A

WHERE ARE THE ETHICS OF THE KINGDOM FOUND?
ETHICS: “Civil, Civic, Moral Principles, Moral values, Moral code.
(The relationship of the citizens of the kingdom to LAW in New Testament terms)
A group of Robotic scientist did an interesting experiment; they created little robots capable of a unique range of
sounds. Their job (The Robots) was to find each other and then cooperate with each other to produce a successful
musical piece. Very interesting task, especially when obstacles and barriers are introduced. For example, what
happens when the information gathered has an error in it?! Or, what happens when there is a short in the electrical
system and the robot determines and believes one way and performs in a different way? The resulting disafinado
will cause the robots to search for the problem and correct it together as a group. Civility and a code of behavior
become important, so that each unit does not abort the musical piece because of his personal belief system. The
music is paramount, and each unit must work for the success of the piece, even to its own exclusion if necessary.
That is the job of ethics, and Christianity represents (among other things) a very high moral and ethical code.
In Matthew, this ethical code is found in the “Beatitudes” (Matt.5:3-11) the code reveals the relationship of the
Believer to God who is Himself the (plumb-line and) righteous standard. The advent of Christ is the personification
of the Code.

THE DYNAMICS OF THE KINGDOM ARE FOUND WHERE?
(The relationship of the citizens of the kingdom to God)
(Matt.7:11, 12) - While the ethics of the Kingdom also places the citizen in relationship to the Law, the ability he
needs to observe and resolve the issues of life from God’s perspective, as revealed in His law, is found in two places
in Matthew: (1)- 5:43-6:1-34 (Devotional Life Design) and (2)- 7:7-11 (The Power of the Spirit).
 IS PRAYER FOR PUBLIC DEMONSTRATION?
Prayer is not a public performance; it is not a public demonstration (But is between the praying person and his God).
(The Gospels). (Matt.6.5, 6). There are, however; times when a dynamic leader must go beyond the material
significance of petition and reveal the height of his passion in order to challenge and develop new initiates.
IN CONCLUSION TWO THINGS:
 We sometimes think that a DR.’s Degree is necessary to be like Jesus, when in fact a caveman without
words illustrated it exactly.
 We often judge other religions and especially terrorist’s when we know that they need much prayer to
receive from God “A Caveman’s Heart”! The writer of Hebrews (Heb.6:1-6) speaks of those who press on
to the high calling … pass beyond foundational things). This requires the residency of the Holy Spirit
(1Cor.2:6-16), without this expediency we become Judaizers. The Law is good and has a place but the
Spirit leads us into all LIFE (2tim.3:16, 17) especially in light of the work of Christ, who has freed us from
the penalty of the Law (becoming a curse for us (Gal.3:13-15).
We have discussed in this section the Foundations of an in-depth Prayer Life. Some may have noticed that the
answer to each question in the Quick Quiz above, is one word and that word is LOVE. LOVE is the relational
cornerstone of a successful PRAYER LIFE.
As we go and as we grow into our excursion into PRAYER … we will discuss INTAMACY and relationship in
more detail before we investigate COMMUNICATION and then prayer.
