Community Service

LHS students are all required to complete 40 hours of
community service in order to graduate.

Community Service allows students to broaden their
horizons. It can offer students a practical application of
lessons learned in the school setting, it can expose them to
possible career interests, they can begin networking, and
most of all it sets the stage for giving back to their
community.

Service can be done at the school, in the Leicester
community or other neighboring communities, and with
church groups, town offices, or for special causes.

Students cannot get paid for their service and have to submit
their hours to Mr. Smith, the school’s adjustment counselor.
Guidance & Student Support:
The LHS Guidance Mission: Guidance strives to support each
student in their journey of self discovery & to assist them in
developing and achieving their educational and career goals.
 Support Services are offered by both Guidance Counselors
Mrs. Warnken (A-K) & Mr. Bowes (L-Z) as well as our full
time Adjustment Counselor Mr. Smith, who is available to
ALL students.


◦ Approximately 90% of students went on to post-secondary
training or college;
 61% going on to 4 year and,
