??????What is Faith??????
Faith is confidence or trust in a person or thing
• It also is a belief that is not based on proof
• Faith is a belief in god or in the doctrines or
teachings of religion
• Faith is a belief in anything, as a code of ethics,
standards of merit, etc. Faith is a system of
religious belief.
• Faith is the obligation of loyalty or fidelity to a
person, promise and engagement.
• It is the observance of this obligation; fidelity to
one's promise, oath, and allegiance.
What I believe about my faith???
-I believe in God and Jesus. I believe that they are both real and
that they are watching over us. Some difficulties that I have with
my faith is that I sometimes believe that their not watching over
me when bad things happen but I always believe in God and
Jesus. Some times in my life I can tell when God is with me when
I was on my way to town and we stopped at the light and while
we were waiting for the light to turn green and all of a sudden
there was a big bang and we moved up a little bit and we looked
behind and I guy ran into us. I could tell god was with us because
we weren’t hurt and we survived it so it must have been god and
not just luck. All luck is god when someone is lucky I believe that
god is just with them helping them feel joy in there life.
What is a Prayer?
-Prayer is a form of communication, a way of talking to God or to the saints. Not all prayers
are the same, however. Here are brief descriptions of the five major types of prayer.
• 1. Adoration:
In prayers of adoration or worship, we praise the greatness of God, and we acknowledge
.our dependence on him in all things
• 2. Expiation
In a prayer of expiation or contrition, we acknowledge our sinfulness and ask God for His
forgiveness and mercy.
• 3. Love
Prayers of love or charity are just that—expressions of our love for God, the source and
object of all love. The Act of Charity is perhaps the best example of a prayer of love.
• 4. Petition
Prayers of petition are the type of prayer we are most familiar with. In them, we ask God
for things we need—primarily spiritual needs, but physical ones as well. Our prayers of
petition should always include a statement of our willingness to accept God's will, whether
He directly answers our prayer or not.
• 5. Thanksgiving
Perhaps the most neglected type of prayer is prayer of thanksgiving.

Biography On Oprah
Winfrey
Her signature
Oprah Winfrey (born Orpah Gail Winfrey; January 29, 1954) is an
American television host, actress, producer, she is best known for her
self-titled, multi-award winning talk show, which has become the
highest-rated program of its kind in history. She has been ranked the
richest African American of the 20th century. Winfrey was born into
poverty in rural Mississippi to a teenage single mother and later raised
in an inner-city Milwaukee neighborhood. She experienced
considerable hardship during her childhood, including being raped at
the age of nine and becoming pregnant at 14, her son died. Sent to live
with the man she calls her father, a barber in Tennessee, Winfrey
landed a job in radio while still in high school and began co-anchoring
the local evening news at the age of 19. Her emotional ad-lib delivery
eventually got her transferred to the daytime talk show arena, and after
boosting a third-rated local Chicago talk show to first place she
launched her own production company.
How Faith has guided their life?
Since 1994, when she abandoned traditional
talk-show fare for more edifying content, and
in 1998 she began 'Change Your Life TV',
Oprah's most significant role has become that
of spiritual leader. To her audience of more
than 22 million mostly female viewers, she has
become a post-modern priestess—an icon of
church-free spirituality."
How prayer is important to
Oprah???
• Dear God,
I give this day to you.
May my mind stay centered on the things of spirit.
May I not be tempted to stray from love.
As I begin this day, I open to receive You.
Please enter where you already abide.
May my mind and heart be pure and true, and may I not deviate from the things of
goodness.
May I see the love and innocence in all mankind, behind the masks we all wear and
the illusions of this worldly plan.
I surrender to You my doings this day.
I ask only that they serve You and the healing of the world.
May I bring Your love and goodness with me, to give unto others wherever I go.
Make me the person You would have me to be.
Direct my footsteps, and show me what You world have me do.
Make the world a more safer, more beautiful place.
Bless all your creatures.
Heal us all, and use me, dear Lord, that I might know the joy of being used by You.
Amen.
