If you were gone and can not do the
presentation on the day it is due.
It is worth 20 points and you have two options.
– Complete your part of the presentation and
come in before school to 214 or after
school to Mrs. Crayne and give it, in the
allotted time.
– Write notes for all the chapter sections
and turn them in in the allotted time.
If these are not completed in the allotted time
you will be going to the Get It Done room
until #2 is completed.
Canvas Testing
• All Tests must be taken in this classroom under
supervision during the class period.
• The IPad must remain flat on the desk during testing.
• Be very careful with your tap, accidental taps or
passes will count and you may miss the question.
• All cell phones must be on the desk, turned off and
turned face down during the test. Use of the
cellphone during testing will be regarded as cheating
and subject to failure.
• Taking pictures with IPad of the test will be regarded
as cheating and subject to failure.
• Leaving the test to visit another app before finishing
the test will be regarded as cheating and subject to
failure.
• If you miss the test due to absence or late work, you
must come into 214 during study hall or before school
to make it up. You will take a paper copy.
• Retake tests are always paper copy.
World Studies: Latin America Project Based Learning

Expectations for your presentation. 100 points
You will each be assigned a country in Latin America for this presentation.


In your project you need to show relationships and reasons. Such as history, religion, culture,
ancestry, climate and agriculture, industry, natural resources, economy, government…..etc.
The project will be presented to the class- a presentation , power point (you can add your own
sound and voice over), iMovie or how ever you wish to present. You do not have to use the IPad
for the presentation if you wish. The bigger the better.



Driving Question for Unit II Project- Why would the United
States want to have foreign relations with your country? What
are the benefits to both countries- such as trade, foreign aid,
military aid, alliance, etc.? You must consider current events.
Research.- Oct. 15- Oct. 18
You may use your IPad for research in class on your country to answer the driving question.
We suggest you take notes, but this is your project. Do it as you see fit.
Class Time will be used for your research. Conversations with other is not going to be allowed.
IPad use is restricted to research and project development only in class, any other usage will
result in the loss of the use of your IPad for the rest of that period.





Individual Project Development- Oct. 19-Oct. 24
You may use your IPad for project development in class to answer the driving question.
This is your project. Prepare your presentation as you see fit. Keep in mind it must answer the
Driving question and tell as much about your country as possible.
Class Time must be used for your project development. Conversations with other is not going to
be allowed.
