This syllabus is designed for students who have taken Financial Accounting course. In this level students will have the opportunity to delve deeper into accounting themes including conceptual and regulatory framework of financial reporting, preparation of financial statements and ratio analysis. The course enables students to learn and work independently in financial reporting. Discuss and apply a conceptual and regulatory framework for financial reporting; Account for transactions in accordance with International accounting standards (IASs); Prepare and present financial statements for single entities and business combinations which conform with IASs; Analyse and interpret financial statements.
