The reading of the minutes of previous meeting was waived and they were approved as printed Our new Field Agent, Brother Travis Woolridge, was introduced. Reading of Receipts: $23.91 to Paul Diaz for ink cartridges, $38.34 to Paul Diaz for council drinks, $84.80 Manuel Padilla for breakfast supplies, $46.49 to Jose Lopez for ink cartridges, $21.57 to Supreme for council supplies, $75.00 Arrowhead Desert Chapter for per capita dues, $191.07 to Mike Leeming for pool party expenses, $98.07 to Cal Dali for pool party supplies, $87.76 Frank Gillis for the general meeting dinner Financial Secretary Denny Stump reported that the July breakfast grossed $620.00 and netted $544.86.Our income for the previous months was $676.70 and the expenses were $1495.70. The Treasurer’s report was completed by Robert von Voigt. Old Business Grand Knight Paul Diaz reported that our revised membership quota is 12 new members per year. A motion by Lou Cartwright to have a portion of the proceeds of our August breakfast go to Bro. Jim LaPolla was approved Harrah’s Casino Trip Saturday, August 22, 2009 has 35 signed up to attend at this time. Mike. Leeming said that there were approximately 50 to 60 attending the pool party on August 1st Joe Bok said that 68 pints of blood were collected at the Blood Drive in August. Brothers Joe Bok, Tom Hughes, Bill Grancich Paul Diaz helped at the event. The Auditors and Trustees reported that all bills were approved and paid. Don Gonzalez reminded the council of the Hour of Power Rosary at the Montclair abortion clinic on Saturday at 9:00 A.M, District Deputy Joe Bok stated that the council audit report is due on August 15th.He also discussed, membership, family week and World Day of Prayer for Peace on September 11th.. New Business Clergy Night Dinner will be on January 29, 2010 in Maher Hall. We need all knights to work. Both bishops will be attending and possibly the State Deputy. Committees will be formed by the next general meeting. The 25th Council Anniversary/Christmas Party will be on December 5, 2009.The Decorating Committee will be chaired by Joanna Diaz. First Degree Team meets 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the month and anticipates certification in November. 4th Degree report: De Anza officer’s installation the end of this month, Paul Diaz is the Color Corps commander. St. Jude Assembly bingo kitchen has been cancelled. Ed Brezinski pasted away, he was the first Faithful Navigator of the Assembly. Next Corporate Communion – August 30th 2009 9:00A.M. Lou Cartwright stated that our trailer was used without council approval. A motion to buy lock for the trailer passed. .Bro Bernie Santos is transferring to our council.
