FROM PASTOR: Be ready at all times to meet the Lord. We are not to be complacent, but always ready
to meet the Lord. We believe that it is more likely that we will meet Jesus in our death, rather than at
the end of time, but regardless of when it happens, we are to be ready and prepared, just as the wise
virgins of today’s gospel parable were.

must undergo a purifying before they can see God face to face.
The Holy Souls cannot help themselves and it is our privilege of
brotherhood that we can shorten their time of separation from
God by our prayers, good works and offering the Holy Sacrifice

Stewardship: Recognizing and Receiving God’s Gifts
“Wisdom is a gift to those who seek it. When we share this
gift we bring others to a closer relationship with God. St. Paul
was commissioned by our Lord to bring the gospel to the
Gentiles. His understanding of the kingdom of God became
the basis for the faith that eventually spread throughout the
world. In the gospel today Jesus explains through a parable the
importance of wisdom. We don’t become wise by accident,
but must pursue knowledge and understanding so that we are
always ready to follow the path god sets before us. Faith
enables our love of God to grow and wisdom allows us to
share that love with our neighbor. May Wisdom find us ready
to seek God and serve our neighbor.
Word of Life
“To trust in God’s timing for our passing into eternity
requires courage, humility, and sometimes great spiritual
strength. This final stage of life, when we focus our
attention on the things that really count, can be a time of
deep reflection, of forgiveness and reconciliation within
the family, and of finding peace in one’s relationship
with God.” Respect Life
