The course that gives the learner introduction to computer, its usage and relevance to every user much more to teacher, gives literacy on computer program application, like Microsoft office, adobe (PageMaker) Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design or any other software related to. It’s basic applications and commands that prepare the learner to a higher level. EDUI 106 DESKTOP PUBLISHING I – 3 units. This course introduces the basic operation of Desktop publishing program particularly PageMaker which is the most used application in the pre-press business. The student learns how to make page setup with the use of computer. EDUG 211 EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY I – 3 units. This course guides the teacher to prepare the learner the use of instructional media for effective and systematic teaching. Through the help of computer, the students must learn the use of computer program application like, Microsoft word for word processing, Excel for grade computation and PowerPoint for presentation retrieving, naming, transferring from/to other sources making JPEG, MPEG and burning data from/to DC’s knowing how electricity/electronics takes place to be used in teaching effectively. EDUG 212 EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY II w/ Field Study III – 3 units. This course which guides the teacher to prepare for audio and visual materials, in the major subjects, use of computer for producing visual materials, mastery of lesson planning in the areas of concern, making course module or/and portfolio. The audio and video system set up for effective and efficient teaching learning. EDUI 101 ELECTRONICS I – BASIC ELECTRICITY AND ELECTRONICS – 3 units. Study of fundamentals of electricity and electronics such as electronic schematic diagrams, components, and circuits, functions and use of electronics tools and instruments, AM and FM principles and basic elements of radio servicing, and assembly of AC-DC converter and transistor radio. (3 lecture hours and 9 lab. Hours per week). EDUI 102 ELECTRONICS II – THEORY ON AMPLIFIERS – 3 units. Study of semiconductors, transistors, integrated circuits and analog switching logic, speaker system, tape recorder and stereo amplifier servicing, and designing and assembly of stereo amplifiers. (3 lecture hours and 9 lab. Hours per week). EDUI 103 ELECTRONICS III – THEORY ON VIDEO AND TELEVISION WITH SHOP MANAGEMENT – 6 units. Study of antenna system and elements of black-and-white and colored television and basic video tape recorder servicing. Application of electronics theory in actual troubleshooting and repair of electronics instruments and appliances. Study of planning, organizing, and managing electronics shop. (3 lecture hours and 9 lab. Hours per week). EDUI 104 BASIC PRIN. ON DIGITAL CIRCUITS & DESIGNS – 3 units. A detailed study of switching logic using digital logic gates such as inverter, AND gate, NAND gate, OR gate, NOR gate, XOR gate, XNOR gate, parity circuits etc. It covers the study and design of all flip-flops circuits, timers, basic design of counters, shift registers and clocks, design and programming of safety and control system of digital circuits. It updates the students on the use and study of advanced digital approach in the modern world of technology. EDUI 215 WOOD WORKING – 3 units. The course helps the teacher to guide the learner in making simple carpentry pattern and repair, the correct use of carpentry tools and shop care, making simple to complex project that enable the students apply in specific area or will help as well as his/her livelihood. EDUI 320 COMPUTER GRAPHICS I – 3 units. Introduction to the different software packages used in the field of the data graphics presentation; the present computerized system used in preparation of materials for meetings, different type faces, fonts and formats. Pre-requisite: Word Processing, Programming and Electronic Spreadsheet. EDUI 430 INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE (Gasoline) Laboratory – 3 units. Theoretical principle how gasoline takes place and burn and burns inside the combustion chamber. Application of diagnostic principles in troubleshooting repairs and tune-up of automotive diesel engine. (9 hours per week laboratory) EDUI 435 INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE (Diesel) THEORY – 3 units. Study the logical operation on how diesel takes place to be burned inside the combustion chamber. The technique as applied to diesel engine tune-up and its repair by observing and while the engine is running (3 hours per week lecture. EDUI 440 AUTOMOTIVE ELECTRICITY – 3 units. This will help the students locate and diagnose different auto electrical system its maintenance and repair like, cranking, ignition, charging and lighting system. This will able the students to re-wiring the entire auto electrical system and give precise information between contact breaker and capacitor discharge ignition (C.D.I.) EDUI 445 AUTOMOTIVE SERVICING WITH LABORATORY – 6 units. Laboratory experimentation and repair for the automobile servicing class designated to acquaint the student with a broad range of knowledge in trouble shooting, under-chassis, break system, power train, and engine problems (9 hours per week laboratory).
