Manage financial assets as well as all Hospital debt. Invest cash surpluses; utilize investments or
obtain borrowed funds as needed to maintain corporate liquidity. Establish daily cash position.
Prepare short, medium and long-term cash flow forecasts and update the same on a weekly
basis. Provide Accounts Payable Manager with a weekly disbursement budget prioritizing
disbursements based on availability of funds.
Prepare all journal entries related to cash activity and short/long-term investment activity including
recognition of unrealized gains or losses and prepare associated rollover schedules. Perform
electronic funds transfers for the funding of intra/inter-company accounts and execute outgoing
wire transfers to third parties on a daily basis.
Act as the primary liaison between the Hospital and all its financial institutions. Administrator of
the Treasury Workstation and key participant in a successful banking conversion. Analyze
feasibility of services.
Develop long-term pro-forma financial statement projections including profit and loss, balance
sheets, cash flow statements and assumptions, and participate in the development of annual
budgets. Prepare elaborate investment income budget.
Assist C.F.O. in obtaining bond financing for the financing of major construction projects and
perform ratio compliance reports for regulatory agencies. Insure the correct and timely funding of
bond debt service funds and prepare all journal entries related to bond activities. Key participant
and primary point of contact n obtaining tax-exempt leasing for the Hospital.
Assist extensively in the production of the monthly financial statements via preparation and input
of journal entries, analyses of significant balance sheet changes and expense variances, and
computation of key financial ratios..
Interact extensively with independent auditors to facilitate completion of year-end audit with
specific emphasis on long-term debt schedules, investments and related income. Responsible for
a significant portion of financial statement footnotes and associated narratives.
Perform all accounting functions through financial statements for the Hospital’s Gift Shops and
Auxiliary fund raising entities.
Actively participate in the preparation of the annual tax return (Form-990) and interact as needed
with consultants or auditors.
Assist V.P. Finance/Controller or Chief Financial Officer with miscellaneous projects and surveys
as assigned.
