Had difficulty seeing screen-too many heads in front of me. Interesting discussion. I enjoyed the communication between members at my table. We were able to learn from one another and really talk about issues and concerns. I like to hear from other buildings. It helps us see the big picture. I want to talk with teachers in the same content area and what they are doing or have been doing to help students improve. We have done this same day for umpteen times. This is pretty much always the same first day professional development every year. I listened more than I talked. The clear and compelling standards were not clear nor compelling. Quotes should not flash on a screen during work times. Rehash of previous years. Discussions were good, but over all flow of the whole day was not fluent. The work is fine. The level of involvement is directly proportional to the superficial approach. (unfocused, scattershot) I feel like we have discussed the same issues over a ten year period. However, I have seen very little come out of our discussions. We have done some of the same stuff in the past. We did not move. We have done this before. 14. Nothing, its just a Friday 15.
