Summary
David Wright is an award winning cinematographer / DP. Originally from the UK, he is now based in
the US, but also regularly travels internationally for projects. He works on a wide variety of subjects
including human interest, natural history, adventure, as well as science stories. Regular clients
include the BBC, Discovery, Animal Planet, PBS and National Geographic. Genres include
handheld camerawork for presenter led shows to technical shooting for natural history and science
stories. Originally trained at Oxford Scientific Films, David also has a strong background in time
lapse and high speed shooting (certified Phantom technician- Abelcine USA)
The diverse nature of the work means David has developed a wide range of skills from working in
extreme conditions of the Arctic, the Australian desert to downtown LA or NYC. During his career
David has traveled to over thirty countries, but in particular has spent extended periods working in
Australia, the Arctic and across the United States. He has also spent long periods working in India
and Sri Lanka.
