For Study Abroad information: http://www.studyabroad.msu.edu/ CERS ~ Center for European and Russian / Eurasian Studies Located within Michigan State University's Office of International Studies and Programs, CERS has developed an exceptional program in European and Eurasian studies which aims to promote study and understanding of European, Eurasian, and Russian culture, society, and political issues. By combining formerly separate programs and faculties in Western European Studies and Russian, East European and post-Soviet Studies into an integrated pan-European and Eurasian Center, CERS emphasizes the need to explore linkages and study emerging challenges that transcend the cold war divisions of Europe and reach authoritatively into Post-Soviet Central Asia. The Center offers undergraduate specializations in Russian and East European Studies (REES), Western European Studies (WES) and maintains a relationship with other like-minded study units, such as the Muslim Studies Program, which has a Muslim Studies Specialization. Classes may not be offered all semesters and may need pre-requisites or their content may change so make sure that the courses chosen contain material relevant to Europe.
