EUROPEAN Q-PLACEMENTS TRAIN-THE-TRAINER WORKSHOP IN RIGA (Draft)
The workshop is organized in the frames of LLP LdV Transfer of Innovation Project “VET- Enterprise
Cooperation for Quality Assurance of VET Placements and Apprenticeships: Introducing Q-Placements
Model”.
Aims of the
workshop:

Prepare lead trainers for implementation of Q-Placements workshops in partner
countries;

Agree on training methodology and content for national workshops
Dates and
working hours:
Monday, October 13th: 10.00 – 17.00
Tuesday, October 14th: 9.00 – 17.00
Wednesday, October 15th: 9.00 – 16.00
Participants are recommended to arrive on Sunday, October 12 th.

Participant’s
profile:
Participants should come from VET and business. They need to have experience and
demonstrate strong interest in the theme of the workshop. Participants must be prepared
and in a position to commit themselves to collaborative international work for duration of
3 days and be ready to implement national workshops after training.
This includes in particular:
 being competent users of English;
 having trainers experience with adults;
 knowing VET placement system in their countries;
 being aware of Q-Placements Handbook content;
 contributing to drafting program for national workshops;
Participants are identified and nominated by partner organizations taking into account the
required participant’s profile. Each partner selects two participants – one from VET, one
from business.

QP project in response to EU priorities in VET;
Q-Placements Handbook and recommended themes:




Key players (IVET student, school tutor, company tutor);
Actions, procedures and related documents before, during and after the
placement;
Monitoring, control and evaluation of Placements.
Program design for national workshops.
Methodology:
Case studies; peer/group learning; simulations; observation; discussion; giving feedback;
reflection.
Expected
outcomes:
Developed training approaches and training content for national workshops. Participants
are equipped with knowledge and skills to implement national workshops based on
Q-Placements model.
Certification and
recognition of
participation
Participants will receive certificates for the completion of the workshop program indicating
the nature of competences developed and the workload of the training.
Travel and daily
subsistence costs
Are covered from partner budgets.
Participants should stay for the duration of whole workshop.
