One to One Reading
Is up and running for the 2012/13 school year every
Wednesday at noon in Mrs. Melnychuk's classroom.
So far we have created Recycling reminder posters for each
classroom and for the Pop Can Pull Tab Challenge that will
run until Dec. 19 with the class bringing in the most pop can
pull tabs winning green glazed donuts for their whole class.
At our last meeting we looked at "Planet Study Bottles" and
were observing while discussing the necessity of clean land,
water, and air for all living creatures on our planet.
The One to One reading program at Haldane Elementary
begins this month. This is a volunteer reading program coordinated by Bruce Nelson. Volunteers come into the school
and read with students for a few minutes 2-3 times per week.
Thank you Bruce for all of your hard work!
We reviewed all of the many things that our school collects
and how they help others in our world. Please continue to
collect: Pop Can Pull Tabs, Campbell's Soup labels, used
inkjet cartridges, used postage stamps, old eye glasses, and old
cell phones.
