The students will gain experience in researching, preparing, and presenting an informative PowerPoint project. This assignment requires each student to make numerous informational, organizational, and time management decisions. Directions: Each student is responsible for developing and presenting a unique, creative, and informative PowerPoint. Students may choose from a varied list, including: Department of State, Department of Justice, FBI, CIA, Department of Homeland Security, NASA, ATF, US MINT, etc. I will provide a list of choices, and to reduce repetition, the teacher may direct you to choose from those not selected yet. Students need to research their topic in the textbook and then online at credible websites. Government sponsored web sites (the ones that end in .gov) are the best for pictures and information. They should then organize the information into outlines, concept maps, or other note sheets. You are responsible for planning and presenting a project that INCLUDES: 1. Explains some / any major current issues or news stories related to your topic 8. Charts the annual budget and other statistics, if not top secret 9.
