Research Analyst, Pathway Capital Management – Irvine
Pathway Capital Management, LLC, a leading institutional investment management firm that
creates and manages specialized private equity funds of funds for institutional investors
worldwide, is seeking a Research Analyst. The Research Analyst will assist primarily in
conducting data analysis and research related to the private equity markets as well as the
broader financial markets and global macroeconomic environment. The Research Analyst will
work closely with Pathway’s research team as well as the Firm’s other investment professionals.
Responsibilities include:



Identify and communicate key trends and developments in the private equity industry
Create, maintain, and update presentations, data tables and graphs for use in various
research and investment reports
Write periodic and ad hoc research reports and briefs covering the private equity industry
and broader financial markets for dissemination to the Firm’s investment professionals
Requirements include:
 1 - 4 years of research, data analysis, finance, and/or writing in investment management,
consulting, investment banking, or other similar fields
 A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, journalism or related field with a
record of high academic achievement
 Excellent writing skills (must be able to provide writing samples)
 A strong interest in, and understanding of, the financial markets, particularly private
equity
 Strong quantitative and analytical skills
 Ability and desire to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
 Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
 Current CFA charter holder or progress towards CFA charter is desired
